Absolutely subterranean dub techno for you this week. We start at the mouth of the cave (birdsong!) in the 100bpm range, then head underground, working our way up to about 120bpm, where we find ourselves at the surface again, hearing birdsong once more. I didn't plan that part, but love that it happened.  Just one of those happy accidents that can happen when improvising a set.

For our 15th edition of our RainureCast series, we welcome Light of Cacti.
A very different approach to our series that you might not be used to, but our ethos has always been: electronic grooves. This fits the bill on a much more chilled out / unwinding from a heavy night out tip. A superb intricate blend of dub & dub techno courtesy of Kai, a Brighton local who runs the esteemed record label: Tonight's Dream records, focusing on Ambient, downtempo & electronica, do check it out if you like this tip!

Up next on our 15th Therapy Sessions is DJ and Producer Distrikt. Based out of Rotterdam, NL, Distrikt is rooted in groove-driven techno, but drawn to the slower pull of atmospheric dub house and minimal. His mixes linger in the space between beats — textured, patient, and locked in the present.

Recorded in Rotterdam on a grey afternoon, this set takes a step away from his usual techno sounds. Unplanned and unhurried, a flow of slow, spacious dub house with enough weight to hold you under. No peaks, no drops, just a steady pull forward until the start and end blur together.

As a close friend to the Therapy Crew, we are extremely excited to showcase a different artistic side of Distrikt.
