With no other choice, he presses on through the dark, beginning his journey...

Not long after setting forth, Barney enters a room with a pillar of light in his path gently pushing past the dark. In this light floats an orb, elevated just out of reach... This seemingly divine display puts our hero’s mind at ease, and a voice beckoning him into the light needs not to try very hard to lure him in...

Rouxls Kaard is the Toriel replacement. He enters through a beam of light of his own, harsh and blinding enough to snuff out the previous illumination. It seems in his impatience with the new king, Rouxls has made a name for himself on the opposite end of the Card Kingdom, and gladly welcomes Barney to traverse it.

With Darkners catching wind of Barney reigniting the plan to get everyone back to the Light World, Rouxls sees the target Barney’s painted on him, and teaches him how to FIGHT with... a recovered Thrash Machine, acting as the Ruins Dummy replacement.
