Here is my background as a DJ

Since my early youth, I have been infected by the fever of electronic music. The legendary times of the nineties in East Germany shaped my musical taste. I was particularly hooked on GoaTrance and its culture back then. So I became a DJ - first with vinyl, then with CDs and now with USB sticks - and very quickly had a lot of gigs in Germany. I also found my passion for organizing parties and founded the collective “Insulin Productions” with friends, with whom we combined techno, PsyTrance and drum & bass at our parties.

​In 2001, the “Gaggalacka” was born, which was my small birthday open-air party for the first few years and grew more and more into a playful, family festival over the years. Since 2021, the next generation has taken over the festival and continues to organize it in their own way. Over the past two decades, I have lived my passion for creating compilations, DJing at various parties and festivals, and organizing events with every fiber of my body.

After more than 25 years in the depths of the underground of the psytrance scene and a life between nights and festivals, the desire for personal development grew in me. I have always been fascinated by music that is suitable for conscious dancefloors - and many of these tracks have already found their place in my ChillOut sets over the years. But it wasn't until a few years ago that I discovered ecstatic dance and sober raves - events and ceremonies which you celebrate in a mindful and connected way. This is how I found my way to not only continue living my passion as a DJ and dancer, but to shape it as a healing path.

"Music for me is about connection. Connection between the heart, mind, body, and soul. My intent is to discover the magic of our existential life through all senses and feelings. Heal, and connect create universes of sound that transcend a specific intended energy and sensational feeling from the creator to the listener. And the more the listener and creator align, the more the creator has succeeded with the creator's intention. That being said, it is undoubtedly beautiful how a song as a universal language and perpetual piece of art - across time and space - can be interpreted in infinite ways across cultures, generations, world views as well and states of consciousness.

My intention is to fusion all the things I love in life, ancient esoteric wisdom, contemporary science and technology, quantum physics, as well as existential philosophy into novel-seeking art, to express what's in my conscious heart, mind, and soul, researching and discovering all aspects of existence and then express my feelings through my art, through all 6 senses, the 6th sense being intuition, as one of the most important drivers since it is governed by the heart, the seat of the soul. The same conscious instrumental senses that have been used to discover life through all senses is the same instrument I use when making my music. It's almost like an omnipresent tribute to life, where you experience and observe life to the fullest, and then again express your feelings of the experienced and observed through art by using all senses in a conscious and present way. Since 2020 I'm again actively playing music as a Dj, mainly for Ecstatic Dance. Already in my early youth I had my first attempts behind the turntables. Between 2008-2015 I recorded and released various mixsets under the synonym 'beatcook / beatCuisine'.

Playing the handpan has been enriching my musical repertoire for more than three years and over time binaural beats, nature sounds and mantras have become part of my music.

I especially love Downtempo, Progressive Techno, Ecstatic / Trance Dance and Ambient Sound Journeys. Feel, sense and experience my music and 'Cacao Sound' up close. I love to create a beautiful and breathtaking atmosphere for my performances.
