[R]3volution V|kt|ms is the name of the third Vinyl VA trilogy from [R]3volution Records, after Those Who Dare and [R]3volution H3roes.

In the Vol.1 the label owner Michele Mausi, as well as with his track called Re-Main, hosts 5 great artists of the scene, each of which is characterized by a unique style and touch.

The EP opens with David Meiser, an eclectic Spanish artist who recently appeared on [R]3volution with his remix on the Ritzi Lee release. Another great Spanish artist is Endplate, who also recently appeared on [R]3volution with his remix in the Arnaud Le Texier release, and with countless releases behind him on the top labels of the scene such as Warm-Up, Granulart, Faut Section just to name a few. 

Side B opens with Linear System, another solid French-Spanish artist who certainly needs no introduction, with several appearances on our label, and then continues with a duo of as many solid Swedish artists Alexander Johansson & Mattias Fridell, they also already appeared on our label with a remix of a track by Arnaud Le Texier. The EP ends with Jon Hussey, a reference artist of the Irish scene.

Hey peeps,

here's my 3-hour closing set at ORPHIC. This was a really special one for me as I've been going to the Orphic parties quite a bit. From the first time visiting I wanted to play here. The crowd and vibe at these parties is zero to none, and the organisation is a lovely group of people with a very community-based mindset. 

I wanted to do something special, and I think you can hear that in this set. It's a very hypnotic and heavy set, ranging from very emotive to heavy dark tracks, with a lot of layering going on. There's a few small moments that are slightly messy as I was constantly playing with multiple decks at once, but that makes it human ;). The recording cut out at 2:50:00, so I edited the last few tracks in to ensure a safe landing after 3 hours. 

Hope you'll enjoy it as much as I did playing this.

This release features a remix version of the 4 tracks contained in "Tourette Syndrome EP" released last year, edited by 4 giants of the scene, such as the Belgian talent PTTRNRCRRNT, the Italian genius DIVIDE, the Spanish standard-bearer ENDPLATE and the eclectic Hungarian artist Dave Wincent. Subsequently we find the remix of "Drainer" track included in the VA 'R3VOLUTION H3ROES EP VOL.3' by a great artist of Italian origins based in Berlin ITZAAC, and to close a real pearl: the remix of Re_Main by the crystalline talent of RHYTHM ASSEMBLER (AKA MTD) included in the VA 'R3VOLUTION V1KT1MS EP VOL.1'. How it all started  
Sidney has been since his childhood in a musical scene  surrounded by people in  all the different bases of existing styles.

Very quickly, he feels attracted by a more underground genre and discovers the world of Free Parties at the beginning of the 90s.

TECHNO is finally revealed to him!

This milieu allows him to meet people offering him to do his first gig  push and  releasing a heavy BASS sound!

From Techno to Hard Techno, via Tribecore, these genres will become his signatures to pursue his passion.

He joins the organisation of the Strasbourg association ORGAN B in 1995 alongside artists already well known in the movement, such as Benji La Malice, Cyber Seb, Lunatique Asylum, Liza'N'Eliaz, Laurent Hô, and others.

German and Swiss Techno are reaching out to him to help him discover this very special atmosphere from across the Rhine.

He is going to soak up the atmosphere in clubs such as Jailhouse, Parkhaus, Universal D.O.G., Freiamt, Atlantis, Illegal, Tower, Planet Earth, Abflug, Lenox Club, Trésor (Berlin).

The emblematic ones, TimeWarp and Nature One.

Not forgetting the not-to-be-missed Street Parade in Zurich and the Love Parade in Berlin. 

At the end of the 2000s everything accelerated, he performed more often with artists such as Manuel Orf aKa Viper XXL, Ruiz Sierra, Simo Lorenz, Laurent Hô, Tonio, Cymba, Brian Burger, Mitch'A.

While sharing his music on stage and also on Web Radios such as Planet X, Techno Paradize and Laut FM. He actively participates in the promotion of this environment which he enjoys so much within Alsatian event associations such as Animus Corpus Events, Shelter Events, T-Matik, Studio ROM, Dolly Sound...

As he likes to sum up :

About – Vincent Montoya
Vincent Montoya developed a great passion for techno music at a very early age. Growing up by the Baltic Sea, the rough and gentle sides of the sea are reflected in his track selection and mixing. He chooses his tracks carefully. He packs them with emotion, openness, sensitivity and skillful mixing into sets that capture the intimacy of the moment in front of an audience, in a club or at a festival. His mostly very long, rough and raw austerity and at the same time never-ending driving, pulsating, grooving and hypnotic textures reflect his open and creative understanding of techno as a musical style and as a lived culture. With the diversity of his tracks and his boundless understanding of art, he creates a fluid plasticity that diffuses boundaries and creates a new space without merely playing in it. At the same time, his more compressed and shorter sets don’t lack either impulsiveness nor creativity. Nevertheless, he always takes a step back and puts the sound in the foreground, which is gratefully accepted by the audience.
Vincent Montoya has over 20 years of professional DJ and event experience. This know-how is reflected in his excellent reputation and has already been successfully administered at his own events as well as been highly valued at numerous bookings for events, bars, clubs and festivals.

Vincent Montoya entwickelte sehr früh eine große Leidenschaft für Techno. Aufgewachsen an der Ostsee spiegeln sich Rauheit und Sanftmut des Meeres in Trackselection und Mixing wieder. Behutsam wählt er seine Tracks. Verpackt sie mit Emotionen, Offenheit, Sensibilität und einem gekonnten Mixing in Sets, die die Intimität des Moments von Publikum, Club und Festival einfängt. Seine zumeist sehr langen, von rauer wie schroffer Strenge und gleichsam von nie enden wollender treibender, pulsierender, groovender und hypnotischer Textur geprägten Sets spiegeln sein offenes und kreatives Verständnis für Techno als Musikstil sowie als gelebte Kultur wieder. Mit der Mannigfaltigkeit seiner Tracks und dem illimitierten Verständnis von Kunst schafft er eine fluide Plastizität, die Grenzen diffus und einen neuen Raum entstehen lässt, ohne ihn nur zu bespielen. Gleichwohl lassen seine komprimierteren und kurzen Sets nichts an Impulsivität und Kreativität vermissen. SAMA is a DJ and producer from Utrecht, The Netherlands.
