Lancer is the Asgore replacement. After he used up all the Lightners' patience, as well as the patience of his “lesser father,” he’s only been able to watch the kingdom take care of itself, torn about what he should do as its ruler. Barney makes it to Lancer's throne room and proclaims it's time for him and his friends to go home, to which Lancer begrudgingly agrees.

Pawn is the Chara replacement. Barney picked Pawn up at the start of his adventure, and brought it along to the very end. It is now able to properly speak its mind, humbly thanking Barney for showing it how to stay determined in a world where you can so easily be pushed around. It asks to be slid under the couch so it may return to its home, and Barney obliges before finally going home himself.
