Rouxls Kaard is the Toriel replacement. He enters through a beam of light of his own, harsh and blinding enough to snuff out the previous illumination. It seems in his impatience with the new king, Rouxls has made a name for himself on the opposite end of the Card Kingdom, and gladly welcomes Barney to traverse it.

Rouxls has gotten much too comfortable calling the shots for things to go back to the way they were.

Nowadays, as much as it can all still get on his nerves sometimes, he’s found good company in the Field of Hopes and Dreams that’s helped to remind him he doesn’t have to spend life solely in the fast lane.
