Dr Kate Lister is a lecturer in the School of Arts and Communication at Leeds Trinity University. She primarily researches the literary history of sex work and curates the online research project, Whores of Yore, an interdisciplinary digital archive for the study of historical sexuality. Kate has also published in the medical humanities, material culture, Victorian studies and Neo-Medievalism. Episode 9: A History Lesson About Sex Workers and Non Monogamy

We have our FIRST cis-male interview on our show! James is Taara’s partner and we invited him to join our show to share his experience of dropping traditional and patriarchal mindsets. We talk about how these mindsets negatively impacted him, the tools he used to help ditch them, and what shifts he noticed after when it came to his personal relationships, sex and intimacy. Bisexuals are the most common identity in the LGBTQIA+ population with 84% of bisexual people in opposite sex partnerships. On top of that, women are more likely to identify as bisexual. So why isn’t there more support and resources for queer women? Especially those in straight relationships? We invite Heather as a guest on this show to discuss major challenges bisexual women face, the stereotypes many are labelled with and even physical and mental health outcomes this invisible majority can encounter. Heather is currently a third-year graduate student in Southern Methodist University’s Counseling Program working toward completion of her Master’s degree. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, she is committed to finding creative ways to serve and support others in the group.
