We revisit a conversation Greg Schatzmann had for his program Sunday Coffee House with the legendary Sylvia Tyson. From the late 50’s to the mid 70’s Sylvia, along with her then-husband Ian Tyson, dominated the folk music scene in Canada and the US as Ian & Sylvia. By The mid 70’s, Sylvia pursued a successful solo career with a number of her own songs becoming classics. For the past 30 years, she has been part of the musical group “Quartette”, releasing albums and doing extensive touring. This conversation, recorded in February 2016, was just a few days before Quartette appeared at the Empire Theatre.

"For The Record" follows with its driving beat and classic melodic lines, while "Fantazia" channels a slightly dreamy vibe that pulls you into a different headpsace. Closing the EP "Boom Operator," a track with industrial grade dancability.

The Trip's "Perfect Moderation" EP has already caught the attention of Paramida, who has played two of the tracks on Radio 1. This is a testament to the EP's fresh sound and approach to music. Releasing this June 9th.

We're delighted to share with you the absolute masterclass of a mix by the one and only Chris Wheatley. This mix has been a personal favourite of ours as it includes an arsenal of rare disco and funk blended perfectly into 70 minuets of pure groove.

Based in Bournemouth UK, Chris has been a DJ, and collecting records for 30 years, he's a resident at Bump n Hustle in the UK, and makes regular appearances at Spiritland and Up on the Roof in London. Chris has performed DJ sets all over the world and supported the likes of Dave Lee, Kenny Dope, Greg Wilson, Horse Meat Disco, Craig Charles, Dimitri from Paris, Nightmares on Wax and Roy Ayers. In 2023, Chris featured on the festival line-up for Love Supreme with Mr Bongo, and We Out Here.

To help feed his addiction to Vinyl, he's also a Record Dealer and can be found buying and selling at record fairs, in addition to his eBay and Discogs online store under the name 'Funkymusak'.
