There is a huge shift happening with the women and mothers of this world, a real awakening to the grief and struggle we've inherited from ancestors, and that the work we're doing today to try and heal and break cycles not only heals going forwards but also backwards. Sometimes it feels like our sacrifice and exhaustion makes very little difference, so I wanted to create the image of seeing the impact from several generations back, and also looking several generations ahead. I really believe that what we heal and shift in our life time matters, and hope this song conveys that.

This is a contemporary jazz piece in my new project titled "Fables". This song is based on the Turkish fairy tale "The Wizard Dervish". This piece has the following musicians: soprano sax & alto sax by Manuel Trabucco, drums by Soykan Akkaya, bass by Doga Ay and Percussion (Cajon, Maracas, Ghungroo Bells, Shaker, Triangle and the Woodblocks) by Larry Salzman.

Konzeptioneller Soundtrack zur Audiovisuellen Arbeit "Infokratie" im Rahmen der Kurzfilmwoche Regensburg aus der Ausstellung Fables: https://youtu.be/sh3mOFQ9OzQ

"Infokratie" ist ein Buch des südkoranisch-deutschen Kulturwissenschaftlers Byung-Chul Han. In dem Buch wird eine Pipeline für den Weg von der Demokratie, welche von Rationalität und Diskurs geprägt ist, in die Infokratie gezeigt, wo Affektivität, Filter-Bubbles und Überforderung dominieren. Die Infokratie kommt aber nicht mit Einschränkungen sondern entfaltet sich in der Freiheit, die durch die gesammelten Daten sich auch in der Überwachung wiederspiegeln.

Es ist eine audiovisuelle Arbeit, die das Spannungsverhältnis zwischen Informationsflut und Wahrheitsfindung untersucht. Die ästhetische Störung macht nicht nur das digitale Medium selbst sichtbar, sondern auch die unstete Natur von Information im digitalen Zeitalter.

Das Werk zeigt, wie unser täglicher Medienkonsum von einer Mischung aus Realität, Erzählung und Interpretation geprägt ist. Unterschiedliche Ebenen des Bedeutens und Deutens greifen ineinander, während die Grenzen zwischen Dokumentation, Fiktion und Symbolik verschwimmen. Infokratie spielt mit diesen Dynamiken, indem es bestehendes Material neu kombiniert. Durch gezielte Rekontextualisierung wird sichtbar, wie Inhalte transformiert, umgedeutet und in neue Zusammenhänge gesetzt werden – ein Prozess, in dem Wahrheit und Manipulation untrennbar miteinander verwoben sind.

Zwischen Überforderung und Klarheit, zwischen Chaos und Kontrolle fordert Infokratie dazu auf, das Rauschen der digitalen Welt bewusst wahrzunehmen und sich kritisch mit den Mechanismen unserer Informationsaufnahme auseinanderzusetzen.

Die Arbeit lässt sich grob in 3 Parts aufteilen:
1. Freiheit / Infotainment / Wir amüsieren uns zu tode
2. Wirklichkeit als Taumel der Aktualität / Keine Kontinuität oder Überzeugungen
3. Wenn Überwachung und Freiheit in eins fallen / Manipulation der Realität
