This mix collects the 15 solo tracks Flytronix (aka Danny Demierre) released on Moving Shadow from 1995 to 1997. These include the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Encounta 12"s, 3 remixes, and 2 contributions to the Storm From the East compilations.

Flytronix was on a (rare) tear then, producing all-time classics The Rhode Tune and NRG & Consciousness, as well as deep cuts brimming with jazzy, unpredictable musicality. Flytronix drops never revealed everything at once; he would gradually layer on drums and instruments with a storytelling sense largely lost in jungle/dnb today.

It's just Danny here. His collaborations with Alex Banks, JMJ, and Peshay are worth independent study, as are his tracks from 1998 onwards, especially the Archive LP. RQ's artwork brilliantly mashes up Flytronix' artwork for the 2nd and 4th Encounta 12"s. Track list is below. Enjoy!

Ryck from Berne, Switzerland plays different styles of D&B Jungle since '97, co-hosted the monthly D&B radioshow "RaBass 95.6 FM" from 2005 to 2018, co-launched the monthly https://soundcloud.com/bern-bass-podcast -series of episodes in 2014 and co-promoted the Liquid Session D&B-Eventseries at Dachstock Reitschule Berne until its demise in 2024. After co-releasing tracks with Konfront.Audio and FD on Soul Deep and Sunandbass Recordings, he launched the now dormant label https://bernbassrecords.bandcamp.com in 2020 that so far had three Bandcamp-only releases featuring Swiss artists exclusively. 
After playing at major events and venues all over Switzerland such as Mute, Bierhübeli or Rohstofflager, with highlights such as going b2b with LTJ Bukem in Basel or being featured in a Swiss D&B documentary, today Ryck is a regular DJ at DARKSIDE Berne, HOTBOX Zürich and VIVID Basel.
