Exi-Girl fu l’ultima canzone che scrissi in collaborazione con Antonio D’Alise nel periodo antecedente al primo scioglimento dei Sunflowers, ovvero nel lontano 2003. 
Con i suoi colori freak-beat anni ‘60, Exi-Girl è un omaggio al Movimento Esistenzialista d’avanguardia del secolo scorso, in particolare alla fotografa tedesca Astrid Kirchherr, divenuta poi esempio di stile e modello di un’intera generazione. Infatti, “Exi-Girl” sta per “Ragazza Esistenzialista”, in riferimento agli “Exis”, ossia al movimento giovanile alternativo tedesco con il quale i Beatles vennero in contatto prima di essere famosi. Astrid è stata anche la fidanzata di Stuart Sutcliffe, il primo bassista della band di Liverpool morto prematuramente.
I ragazzi esistenzialisti tedeschi erano soliti vestirsi di nero, leggere le opere dello scrittore francese Jean-Paul Sartre e idealizzare i film di Jean-Luc Godard. Osservavano il mondo circostante con certo malumore e un senso di arcana malinconia. Si ispiravano agli artisti e agli scrittori francesi, ritenendo il mondo anglosassone molto distante dai loro interessi, specialmente quello dello spietato consumismo americano. Gli Exis perseguivano la libertà, volevano essere diversi, distaccati e scettici. Secondo la loro filosofia, ogni individuo è radicalmente libero e responsabile delle sue scelte, ma in una prospettiva soggettivista. 
Astrid fu l'ideatrice del taglio di capelli dei Beatles (caschetto), anche se non volle mai essere ricordata solo per questo futile particolare. Grazie ai suoi preziosi consigli (e a quelli del manager Brian Epstein), i Beatles abbandonarono il selvaggio look da Teddy Boys: la brillantina sui capelli, le giacche in pelle e gli stivali da cowboy lasciarono il posto ad una mise più sobria, con completi scuri e senza colletto.
La musa, dallo sguardo magnetico e dai modi ambigui e misteriosi, donò ai Beatles non solo un look, che comunque avrebbe fatto rivoluzione e il giro del mondo, ma uno spirito “bohémienne”, una certa profondità che poi avrebbe influenzato i loro scritti più famosi e intimisti: una maturazione stilistica e musicale scaturita da una nuova consapevolezza artistica.
Viso d’angelo, caschetto corto e anima in subbuglio, Astrid Kirchherr c’insegna che la rivoluzione si può fare anche con certo stile e garbo, non per forza con maniere aggressive e spavalde, com’era avvenuto precedentemente con il Rock’n’Roll degli anni ‘50. E il testo della nostra canzone sottolinea proprio la necessità di questo approccio culturale per emergere a nobiltà d’animo. Noi crediamo in queste dottrine! Bionda, misteriosa e affascinante, Astrid è avvolta da una propria aura mitologica: rimane un’icona degli anni ‘60 e dell’intero movimento giovanile della Swinging London. Questo fu Astrid la fotografa!
La nostra umile dedica si compone di vorticose armonie melanconiche e descrive a perfezione il suo modus vivendi e l’intera scena del Beat inglese.

Les Pommes De Lune debuted in 2022 on the Los Angeles psych-pop label Hypnotic Bridge with the 7" 'Première Transmission'. The single included a cover of 'Une Fleur', originally recorded by French actress and singer Christine Delaroche, and Status Quo's 'Pictures Of Matchstick Men' - in French. Although the band was new, the members of Les Pommes De Lune had a long history in the Canadian garage and psychedelic rock scene, having played in bands such as Thee Gnostics, The Double Feature Creatures, The Saffron Sect, Les Séquelles, Les Incapables and Le Chelsea Beat. Musically inspired by the British Freakbeat scene of the late 1960s and the French Yéyé sound of the mid-1960s, Les Pommes De Lune have developed their own take on psychedelic rock. The band’s single for the Snowflakes Christmas Singles Club will feature the first Les Pommes De Lune original - although the song sounds like a long-lost gem from 1967. On the B-side we find another cover, of an obscure song by Pussy Cat (French singer Évelyne Courtois).
The original 'La Révolution Des Lutins' ('The Elves' Revolution') and the cover 'Le Plus Fort' ('The Strongest') both deal with the same subject: the revolution of the elves! Inspired by the White Panther's 10-point plan, the elves demand total liberation, toys every day, eggnog and Yule log NOW! Les Pommes De Lune support the elves' valiant struggle with quivering guitars, psychedelic music and rhythms. Packaged in a sleeve with great artwork by Marie-Pierre Morin and the Elfs Manifesto on the back, the single is pressed on snow-white bio-vinyl.

I Sunflowers nacquero nel 1997 e debuttarono con l'album amatoriale "In My Childhood Days" il 18 novembre 2001. L'anno seguente divenne un gruppo vero e proprio. Suonavano un bel rock fresco, veloce, divertente e ritmato, ispirati dal Beat dei Beatles, dal Surf dei Beach Boys, dal Garage e Folk Rock. Verso l'autunno del 2002, gli autori della band, Luciano Travaglione e Antonio D'Alise, incominciarono a maturare sonorità un po' più articolate, meno ritmate e più vicine alle suggestioni acide e psichedeliche. Queste nuove canzoni non furono mai provate dalla band, né registrate, forse perché si trattava di musica concettuale da studio, musica d'ambientazione, poco adatta alle serate live nei pub.

Gargyzaa is a one-man band located in Finland.
 I play all the instruments manually (guitars, keyboards, bass, didgeridoo, mini-moog, fipple flute etc.) and sing all the vocals. Plus I have written these lyrics and peculiar poetry/ bizarre dialogues you hear (in Finnish&English).
Some people have asked me who plays the instruments and I have answered them several times that it´s me who is responsible for all this trippy noise and unconventionally musical weirdness.
It has been quite tedious and more or less irritating to explain this relatively often, hahaha.
I´m a also a self taught "musician" and "vocalist". I play by ear.
The drum parts are made from short loops. I don´t have or play drums. Well, maybe one day.
I use Zoom R-24 to record and even master these tracks. I bring the finished "product" to SoundCloud through Audacity.
My gear is very amateurish, cheap and in some cases semi-broken. 
The cover art/design is just basically a few collages I made and a couple of random photos I took.
This is a non-profit project. Enjoy!

First, by the yearly Snowflakes Christmas Singles Club. The first edition of the singles club will be released in November 2013.
