Infatuated with the 1960s and inspired by revolution, former The Killing Floors songwriter Mario Garcia's new vision brings groove, color, and luminosity with sonic landscapes that transport listeners to a world where yesteryear and present-day exist harmoniously.

Crafted with organic and vintage instruments, The L.A. Smog delivers a kaleidoscope of sounds that grab you from the first note. You can hear influences from the early 60s—Dick Dale, Howlin' Wolf, The Beatles—to the later 60s—The Doors, MC5, James Brown and everything in between. BUT! This is not a project built on purism; influences span all decades, genres, and styles; The Kids, Ramones, The Cramps to La Luz, Levitation Room, MOOON, and countless more.

The lyrics are deliberate, some designed to spread a message, and a few themes touch on the human condition, psychedelic experiences, love, heartbreak, life, death, mind-bending dreams, empowerment, awareness, and activism - prescriptions that raise morale.
