A soulful Western Swing ballad wrapped in dusty tension and gospel truth. “The Shot That Missed” tells the true story of the 2024 assassination attempt on Donald Trump — a moment when the world held its breath as a bullet grazed his ear and history nearly took a turn.

With a raw Texan vocal, gospel call-and-response, and a groove led by fiddle, steel guitar, trombone, and piano, the song balances reverence with reflection. It's about survival, silence, and the thunder that never landed — told through Harrison McGraw's signature style: honest, heartfelt storytelling with a swinging backbeat and just enough grit to raise the hair on your neck.

The gospel choir echoes throughout with lines like (It missed…) and (Still standin’, still breathin’…) — reminding us that sometimes fate steps sideways, and the dance goes on.

This project, “Fables” consists of contemporary jazz compositions. Each song is based off a fable from around the world. Old Dragonbeard comes from the Chinese Fairy Book (published 1921), which is a collections of Chinese fairy tales.  This features Manuel Trabucco on Tenor Sax and bass solo by Doğa Ay.
