🔻 Personal Reflection
This one came out of nowhere—and all at once.

I was listening to another song I’d written and heard the phrase “I’m in pieces,” and suddenly I felt it hit me… hard. That wasn’t just a lyric. That was the truth. Five minutes later, “I’m in Pieces” was written. Not crafted—just... exhaled.

It came from the grief I carry from Matthew, from losing someone I thought I was going to grow old with. There’s something uniquely brutal about mourning a person who’s still alive—but no longer the person you loved. The anger, the silence, the self-blame—it all lives in this track. I didn’t write this to make art. I wrote it because my heart was spilling over and I didn’t know where else to put it.

This song is every unanswered phone call. Every final fight. Every “I love you” that came too late. And somehow, writing it helped me realize that being in pieces doesn't mean I'm not still here. It just means I'm real.

Only a friend with a good ear, and a big heart, would throw me a chance like this. This was maybe my fourth time ever playing techno; the first was back in 2017, when Seva invited me to play the final party at Unter’s regular Greenpoint spot. And once again, it was Seva who brought me back, this time to close the main room at Zero Chill. Seva’s always believed in me, and so has NYC for that matter. Thank you for the boost, Seva! 

After nearly 20 years of DJing, mostly known for house, and sometimes ambient, it was a fun challenge to stretch into harder, faster prime time slot for a massive, raging warehouse crowd. Grateful to close the main room at Zero Chill. A high octane filled night with a legendary roster in the Chop Shop, and since it was Pride 2025, we brought it home in the last hour with some disco classiques to honor our origins & ancestors. 

I’ve never had so many people DM me after a set. It’s got me feeling inspired to explore this direction further; I see there's space for me within the techno landscape.
