Thinking of You

With thoughts of you I drift into a soft warm slumber
Can't get to sleep-you're on my mind
When I think of you, I smile

Try to picture your face in my mind
And this occupies my thoughts for a short while
Before I fall asleep thinking of you.

I awake in the morning and say at last another day
Just to see you look my way will keep me happy until we meet again.

And your first words to me will be the words I'll never forget
Looking back we'll laugh about old times

I'm warm in my bed, half awake, half asleep;
So warm in these sheets, wishing I could wake to you
Walking over to me and holding you so tightly you will break.

Gone too soon? Yup.
Criminally underrated? Totally.
HOT TAKE: Attack in Black were what the Hip would've been if they came along 20 years later and erred on the side of punk.

It's a song I recorded in 2014 after a heartbreak. This song is a representation of my feelings of despairity and hopelessness I felt at the time. 11 years later I decided to restore it and release. So here it is.

Lennon & McCartney's classic from when their songwriting was really, IMO, starting to gel.  The original featured John on acoustic guitar and vocal as well as George on guitar plus an added 12-string, Paul on bass and Ringo on tambourine.  It's fun song to play.
