Andras (pronounced On-Dross) is a songwriter with roots in Olympia, Boston and Los Angeles. His band Mr. Jones & The Previous (alternately Mr. Jones & The Fascists, Mr. Jones & The Hard Feelings and simply, The Previous) released 5 albums and toured extensively through the 1990’s. Before The Previous, Jones was in The Boon with Josh Clayton-Felt (later of School Of Fish). After The Previous, Jones toured and released music solo, sharing stages and sessions with the likes of Dan Bern, Spearhead, Jackson Browne, John Wesley Harding, Michelle Shocked, Patti Smith, Andy Dick, Sarah Silverman, Shmushkin and Chris Sand aka Sandman: The Rappin’ Cowboy.  Jones’s new album is entitled Recognize, De-escalate & De-code. The first single “Get Outta My Head” is currently hitting indie radio charts around the world. He is the creator and host of The Radio8Ball Show where guests are invited to ask questions which are answered by picking songs at random and interpreting them like musical tarot cards. He is the host of The World Is Wrong Podcast, and the author of Accidental Initiations: In The Kabbalistic Tree of Olympia (from Sync Book Press).  Andras performs the song “Crazy Captain Gunboat Willie” on the upcoming Lowell George tribute Long Distance Love from Flat Iron Records alongside artists like Elvis Costello, Ben Harper & Inara George, due to be released in March 2024.
Walk the Whale is the brainchild of Logan and Parker, two long-time friends from music school who reconnected over a kindling desire to make good on their passions and get their music out in the world. Trained as cellists but comfortable on various instruments, what follows is a unique twist on the genres of alt-rock, folk, or any other style the pair find themselves in.

Natural collaborators, the duo excels at songwriting, creating over 40 songs since starting the band in 2022. The burst of creativity established a workflow that allows Logan and Parker to move from song idea to demo in a few days. In this, the multi-instrumentalism of Walk the Whale shines, as every part is written and recorded by them. Outside of their collaboration, Walk the Whale has established itself as a ready-made band for other artists along the central coast. Their musical training gives them an edge in providing fresh arrangements for songs ranging from folk to hip-hop.

The band’s vision is to create more than a great touring act but to use their training and penchant for collaborating to involve themselves with all parts of the recording industry. From session work and on-stage collaboration to professional songwriting, Walk the Whale fills a unique niche in the music world. That of professional players, easy to work with, that can deliver powerful original music, or arrangements for any song that comes their way.

Dezelle is a singer-songwriter based in Los Angeles, California who writes music in a variety of genres, including pop, electronic, R&B, americana, and indie folk. She writes and composes for her own projects as well as for other musicians, film, and TV. She has played The Hotel Cafe in Hollywood, The Bitter End in New York, the Troubadour and Ain't Nothin' But Blues Bar in London, House of Blues, SXSW in Austin, Folk Music Festival in Arizona,  the Uncancelled Music Festival and other venues and festivals. 

At the center of Dezelle's music is honest story-telling, and she has received critical acclaim for her lyrics, which were also recognized through her inclusion in the "Lyrics as Poetry" project, a journal featuring lyrics of singer-songwriters that can be found in bookstores and museums across the world. Dezelle's lyrics are featured in the book alongside singer-songwriters such as Gregory Alan Isakov, Alexi Murdoch, and Rachel Yamagata. Dezelle's music has been placed in numerous films, TV shows, and trailers. She has written for Netflix hit TV shows,
the Hallmark Channel, Bravo, Mar Vista Entertainment, Parkside Pictures, Dailey advertising agency (Nestle and Fender), Lifetime, UpTV, as well other brands and studios.

Welcome to the launch of the Monday Monday Podcast! 

Monday Monday is a popular music series held at the world famous HOTEL CAFE in Hollywood, CA. Founded by Joel Eckels in 2013, the showcase night has featured 10 artists every week playing 3 song sets in a carefully curated mix of talent that has included Phoebe Bridgers, JP Saxe, Theo Katzman, Chris Pierce, Rett Madison, Madison Cunningham, Haley Reinhart and Casey Abrams to name a few. Monday Monday is known as a gathering place for up and coming songwriters to find each other, build community and hone their skills.

This new podcast, hosted by Joel Eckels features some of the stand-out talent from the Los Angeles music community sharing the songs that inspired them in their music journey. Our pilot episode features one of our all time favorites, Casey Abrams. We talk about the upright bass, Tenacious D, American Idol, jazz and all of the eclectic influences that shaped Casey Bassey.
