33 track all vinyl mix of mostly Early Terror to Speedcore and Early Hardcore of a dark nature, including some of the old 90's favourites alongside some lesser played tunes. eg. "you did the whispering to yourself... " and a handful or so from post 2000 (no later than '05). It's fair to say there's a gothic atmosphere at many points, provided by one record in particular that all the trainspotters will already know from the image used and a brief crossover into Black Metal territory for the finale.

Ryogo is a member of the Interzone crew and was Brian Not Brian's guide to the city last year. Naturally beers were drunk, music was discussed and Ryogo very kindly agreed to record a special selection for the GGHQ series. This is it. Here it is. Put it on immediately!

DJ Paco’s journey began with a deep-rooted love for music, specifically for vinyl, which has remained a defining feature of his career. His partnership with Dana Montana, an emerging figure in the queer electronic scene, has been especially noteworthy. The Roland Stoves (aka The Interzone amongst other monikers) were pioneers in the techno, electronica and ambient scenes from the early 90's. Many recordings were made during the period '91 - '96, and at least three albums, several eps and a full length promo video were completed, but nothing received a general release. 

In the end only a few demos ever made it out of their Moonbase Alpha studio, mainly handed personally to contemporary artists like Aphex Twin, Orbital, The Shamen, The Orb, Drum Club, Eat Static, Coldcut etc. and a multitude of techno DJs. 

It seems that the diversity of styles that were being output made for an unlikely fit with the various labels of the time. A possible release on Aphex's Rephlex imprint was not mutually agreed, Mighty Force (who first issued Aphex Twin's Didgeridoo) couldn't take it all on board, Planet Dog appeared unreachable and discussions with Rob at Warp were unfortunately cut short.. Even an introduction to Novamute from Richie Hawtin led nowhere leaving The Stoves languishing in the wilderness.

The tracks featured here are from a selection of remasters in an ongoing project to resurrect The Roland Stoves from obscurity...

Maze DK (she/her) is a queer Polish DJ and producer based in Berlin. Her musical upbringing is rooted in EBM, industrial and underground punk, which heavily influences the type of techno she plays – her powerful and relentless music lifts the industrial sounds of broken machinery with an acid sprinkle on top. In her sets, she takes her listeners through dark and energetic dance rituals plunging them into a raving state of consciousness.

Maze DK has played both in and outside of Berlin in clubs as well as soli parties and underground raves for events like GEGEN at KitKat Club, Enigma at Tresor, Club Ost or Mensch Meier among others.

SEV was born in Costa Rica in 1995 and begun at the age 17 finding himself interested into psychedelic trance music.
His music is based on a hybrid synthesis of diferents kinds of trance music  which translates into a powerful and dynamic dance floor, creating patterns between leads, effects and percussions using variety of textures creating a futuristic psychedelia, destructive breaks incluiding all styles of music always looking to find an energetic response on the listener now in 2024 his glitchy groovy stye SECRET VISION is very solid and ready to work with square lab music so be prepare to some psychedelic powerfull tunes 

Mixes are all vinyl only. Setup is a pair of turntables and basic no frills mixer... archaic certainly but I like to keep things simple.

Been into Hardcore Techno/Gabber since '97 after getting a DJ Producer Dreamscape 23 tape and Bass Generator Hardcore Heaven Ravers Choice. Same year found a Thunderdome 1 -5 Megamix CD and discovered the Mokum series which is where my love for harder music began.

A few years later after listening to all the usual suspects found on any Technodrome lineup and events like Deathrow Techno, North etc, I started buying the tunes. Always favoured the acid laced Clarkee sets and Trance infused Dolphin ones but love all of them including "the Mu... the Mu... the Music Maker" for more 'outthere' Industrial/Speedcore stuff. Still have the same passion and level of enjoyment digging for tunes especially unsolved ID's and forgotten/hidden gems.

Subsequent years leaning towards Hard Acid & Acidcore for the more insanity inducing extreme 303's and generally darker atmosphere from the likes of Lasse Steen, Somatic Responses, Zekt, Agro, Drop Bass Network, Direct Drive, Labworks and the swamp-like-grungy acid on Cologne's DJ.Ungle Fever.
A soft spot for Mark EG, M-Zone & Vortex Hard Trance. Also the UK mish-mash Acid Trance/Hard-Nrg/Hard House sound... VCF, Choci's Chewns, Bosca Beats, Public House, Eve/Telica etc, Acid Techno - tend to stick to the 90's stuff I grew up with and Classic Trancecore - so a bit of everything really.

Much greater appreciation now for Techno/Trance & Acid spun by the likes of Aggressor, Warlock, Aztek, Colin Faver, Colin Dale, Mach 1, Trevor Rockcliffe, Daz Saund and Ribbz of course. I enjoy listening to these sets a lot more now that I'm older than I did the first time around and it opens up a whole new world of tunes to hunt down.
