I'm a synesthete composer hears colors and sees sounds. I write on a global scale specializing in creating unique musical blends.

The Year of Music project began in May 2011  there has been a new musical creation posted each day.  Each new piece is created in real-time.   The project is currently in its 13th year.  To date, there are over 4700 "Daily Doses" in the project.

Richard’s live performances take audiences on a journey away from the busy world and into a calmer, less chaotic mental and emotional environment.  Drawing on his classical training, jazz and pop familiarity, Richard creates music thru an improvisational process.  His music has been called a soothing elixir for the soul, mind and body.

In 2016, composer/contemporary pianist Richard Carr moved to the Monterey Bay area of California after living in his native St. Louis area since 2005.  Richard spent 10 years working as a pianist in the night clubs, hotels and restaurants of the French Quarter of New Orleans prior to Hurricane Katrina.  He has released twenty-fiven solo albums and one collaboration in the contemporary instrumental /new age genre.

Aware of the meditative quality of his music, Richard has been exploring the healing side of his music.  Working in the holistic community of St. Louis, Richard developed the I AM Creative Sessions. These sessions are personal sessions in which Richard creates music for the client’s intention or focus.  In essence, he creates a soundtrack for the intention.
  
Currently Richard's electronic keyboard set-up includes Kurzweil PC3x and PC4x,  StudioLogic Numa 2-88,and the Roland boutique synths JP-08 and JX-03.

A sound collective with the deeper, introspective shades of dance music at its core.

It  gave me what other genres failed to - Maximum life celebration in ritual mode, futuristic and tribal sounds which play on and activate all self , they provide connection with higher realms of existence, they catapult you to other dimensions or make you remember who you are at your most profound depth of your being. After psytrance entered in my bloodstream (especially at those magnificent sunrise moments)and danced me in festivals like Ozora, S.U.N., Boom, Freqs of Nature and many lovely colorful events all around the world, I got my first mixing pult. My dream to interact with this giant, beautiful and everevolving organism started to become real. For this my enormous gratitude to Pan Papason and my master Pat aka Zephirus Kane, who have been living and expanding this musical dimension ever since. My name is Matthew McHolland. I am a pioneer in the field of media psychology, and an earth-based self-healing technique that I personally called Aya-Psychology. As a millennial with unconventional thinking and creativity, it is my passion to illuminate and to nurture the public minds about the positive aspects of the digital age. I understand the media-centric society in which we are currently living. I write about the direction in which our world is headed from an ecological and psychological perspective. Moreover, I truly believe that media technologies are powerful tools that can be utilized to enhance individual growth and ecological healing. Thus, I study the biopsychosocial effects that technology and sacred plants have on our minds and our behavior.

Since 2016 I have been researching the science and psychology of a botanical from South East Asia known as Mitragyna speciosa (Ketum) among other sacred master plants from the Amazon. I have a BA in Psychology from California State University San Marcos, and a Masters of Arts in Media Psychology from Fielding Graduate University with an emphasis in Media Literacy. 

I am currently writing a book of short stories titled "Divina Eternity, an e-Learning experience." It is my goal to continue my academic studies (Ph.D.) in the field of consciousness and neuroscience. In the meantime, I am writing and conducting independent hyperdimensional research.
