Like it. Although (again) not sure what it actually is... and not 100% sure about the sax solo:

Does it sound like "deliberately off", slightly disharmonic on purpose... or like a 5 year old assaulting his dad's beloved shiny instrument? 🎷👦

But do like the sound of it. Which actually is the "Alt & Tenor Sax" preset of a free plugin based on a good old Mellotron! 

So it's the digital emulation of a decades old electronic simulation of the real thing!? And still sounds way better than ANY Sax plugin I tried - they all kinda suck (pun intended!). 😙

Tried to walk a tiny distance in WAY too big shoes with these sax parts: those of the fabulous MORPHINE, whose frontman Mark Sandman literally died doing what he loved to do, but WAY too early: on stage in Italy, at the age of 46... almost a quarter century ago, can you believe it? What a loss... 😔

Box Breathing, also known as four-square breathing, is a simple deep breathing technique that involves inhaling for a count of 4, holding the breath for 4 counts, exhaling for 4 counts, and holding again for 4 counts before starting over. It's a quick and easy practice that can be done anywhere to help you feel more calm and centered.

Here's how to perform the Box Breathing technique with a 4-second count:

	1. Sit or stand comfortably with good posture.
	2. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths to relax your body and mind.
	3. Set your intention to BALANCE & HARMONIZE.
	4. Inhale through your nose for a count of 4.
	5. Hold your breath for a count of 4.
	6. Exhale gently through your nose or mouth for a count of 4.
	7. Hold your breath for a count of 4 before starting the cycle again.
	8. Repeat the cycle for a few minutes or until you feel more relaxed and centered.

The benefits of the Box Breathing technique:

	• Reducing stress and anxiety: The technique can help to calm the mind and body and reduce stress and anxiety.
	• Improving focus and concentration: Deep breathing exercises like Box Breathing can increase oxygen flow to the brain, which can help to improve mental clarity and focus.
	• Promoting relaxation: By intentionally slowing down and focusing on your breath, you can promote a sense of relaxation and calm.
	• Enhancing physical performance: Box Breathing can be used to improve athletic performance by increasing oxygenation of the body and reducing anxiety.

Tips:

	• Remember to set your intention
	• Try breathing with more energy & body activation to increase energy
	• Try breathing with a more relaxed breath inhaling and exhaling passively for relaxing effect
	• Try increasing the Seconds of the box for a more calming effect. 


Overall, Box Breathing with a 4-second count is a simple and effective way to promote relaxation, reduce stress and anxiety, improve focus and concentration, and enhance physical performance.

Giuliano Rodrigues is a renowned Brazilian DJ and music producer, widely recognized for his significant contributions to the Dub Techno genre. Born with an innate passion for music, Giuliano channeled his talent and creativity to craft a unique and captivating sound that deeply resonates with genre enthusiasts.

In 2012, Giuliano founded his first digital label, Flowing Movement Music. Through this label, he not only promoted his own music but also elevated the profile of numerous other artists within the genre. His commitment to sonic excellence and dedication to cultivating a vibrant community of Dub Techno producers and fans have solidified his position as a central figure in the music scene.

In 2020, amid the pandemic, he launched DUBGIU, followed by Afterdub in 2023 and DUBLUCID in 2024—all focused on deep tech, deep house, minimal, and, of course, Dub Techno.

Giuliano has also released tracks on Lucidflow, a label founded by Nadja Lind and Helmut Ebritsch, also known as Klartraum. The duo has produced remixes of Giuliano’s tracks, showcasing mutual respect and collaboration within the Dub Techno community. Two of Giuliano’s songs were even played at the iconic Burning Man festival. Giuliano also had the opportunity to remix Klartraum's track Manifestation, which has garnered over 60,000 plays on Spotify.

Additionally, Giuliano was featured on the popular YouTube channel GENTLEMAN, which boasts over 400,000 subscribers. In a dedicated video, GENTLEMAN selected ten tracks released by Giuliano under DUBGIU and created a one-hour set featuring his music. The channel also added two of his tracks to its top Spotify playlists.

Giuliano’s music portfolio extends to Superordinate Dub Waves, founded by Nae:Tek. He has collaborated with Nae:Tek on several tracks, demonstrating his versatility and ability to synergize with other artists. Most recently, Giuliano released new music on Piranha Siberia Dub, continuing to contribute fresh and innovative sounds to the Dub Techno scene.

Through these platforms and collaborations, Giuliano Rodrigues continues to solidify his reputation as a prolific and influential figure in Dub Techno, constantly pushing the genre's boundaries and connecting with a global audience.

INFO: Middle aged music maker (and recreational drummer) from the middle of Franconian nowhere arranging music for open minded music lovers who (like me) don't want to listen to the same (kind of) music all/every day - way too boring (or even annoying).

So you'll find all kinds of stuff here, from Space Jazz to Hip Hop, from Synthpop to Triphop, from Folk to Doom, from here to there, from then to now, and many things in between - except for "pure" EDM / Techno / Trance, not my cup of tea. :P 

Many tracks tend towards "alternative pop". Well, if you don't like a song/genre - just skip it! I won't mind...  ;)

P.S.: Before you ask: I (almost) never start with the vocals, asking myself: what strange things could I make with those?

Instead I start making strange music THEN look for some vocal parts that might fit. You'd be surprised how often you get a "match" the moment you throw those in the mix. Well, sometimes it needs a little tweaking... ;)
