PSYCHE feat. Punky Wood

This was a journey, was intending to make an electronic thing as usual. But the vocal line really captured me, decided to let the vocal line speak... plus the afro rhythm was super infectious, that took me to think Brazilian. So the track features two duelling TR808s flamming and shuffling their way to a big disco break. I figured less is more, really simple music, multiple bass lines overlaid, some beeps, noise and squeaks, bit of Rhodes, lots of vocal oooh and mmmms. Cr78 backing up the various other drum machines (Linn toms, plus the TR808)), ARP Solina for the high ground. Best played damn loud. Kit: Atruria synths, Rhodes V8, Aly Linn Drum plug in, Native Labs, Cherry Cr78, Elka, Serum, Izotope Neutron 5, Ozone 11, Moog FX plug ins - threw the kitchen sink in software plug ins at this, the file is huge!

A chaotic club mix packed with underground house, electro remixes, indie sleaze anthems, and late-night energy. 

Starts with a house remix of The 1975, spirals into Diplo, George Daniel, Charli XCX, Fatboy Slim, and ends in euphoric destruction with LCD Soundsystem. 

For fans of dancefloor drama, warehouse heat, and 2AM serotonin.

An original song made in collaboration with Eric. Eric wrote the lyrics and wanted to construct a song that sounded like Talking Heads or LCD Soundsytem. I selected a Bossa Nova rhythm and we started layering synths and bass lines to create that kind of music vibe.
