Nova York era o cenário da Disco nos anos 70’s, liderados por grandes Djs, onde deixava suas influências a quem visitava. A Disco nasceu no Dia dos Namorados 1970, quando pela primeira vez, David Mancuso organizou a primeira de uma série de festas que ficaram conhecidas como LOFT. David Mancuso e Dj Francis Grasso estabeleceram uma cultura sonora e social contagiante, no famoso BOCA A BOCA, com a mídia mal sabendo de sua existência, permanecendo uma Cena Underground para a maioria dos moradores e turistas.

Mancuso, não considerava-se Deejay, e sim, como se fosse um apresentador musical, digamos assim, ele não fazia as transições, ou melhor, não mixava, mas, contribuiu profundamente, desbravando músicas e escolhendo discos para seu público, extendendo os parâmetros sonoros e sociais de suas festas, inspirando gerações de pessoas que frequentavam suas festas, e até mesmo influenciando-as a imita-lo. Os proprietários do Tenth Floor, Gallery, Paradise Garage, todos modelaram seus clubs a partir da LOFT. Em Chicago, Robert Williams era um devoto do Loft, antes dele abrir o The Warehouse, e os DJs Nicky Siano, Larry Levan e Frankie Knuckles, seguido de Tony Humphries, François Kevorkian e David Morales, frequentaram anos na Loft, antes de se tornarem figuras no cenário em seus Clubs. David Mancuso foi cofundador da primeira Organização New York Records, que organizava Djs para receberem Discos Promocionais gratuitos em troca de Feedback das músicas tocadas nas pistas de dança.

Os clubes The Gallery, The Paradise Garage, e a Festa Loft de David Mancuso, foram os mais importantes da cena Disco Underground. Selo como o da Salsoul Records rapidamente criava seu som, influenciado pela música que saía da Philadelphia, voltada diretamente para as pistas de dança de Nova York.
A Philadelphia International Records(PIR)ajudou a estabelecer o gênero que viria a ser chamado de disco, com músicas dançantes de produção sofisticada, sopros, cordas, vocais com reverb, percussão latina. Artistas da gravadora Salsoul Records, e a Salsoul Orchestra, caracterizavam-se por adicionarem uma profundidade mais percussiva nas músicas, onde os Djs de Nova York adoravam naquela época. Vicente Montana Jr., que foi chamado de: O GODFATHER da Disco, foi Compositor, Arranjador, Vibracionista e Percussionista americano. Foi membro do MFSB, fundador da Salsoul Orchestra.

Walter Gibbons O Primeiro Dj da Galaxy 21. Dj inovador, fazia suas versões exclusivas de faixas para tocar em seus sets, ganhando reputação, onde naquela época os estúdios de gravações eram estritamente voltado para os artistas e produtores. Tom Moulton, criador e originador dos Remix, dizia que o Walter Gibbons, era um Dj único para aquela época, genial. Dizia também o François Kevorkian, baterista que acompanhou o setmix de Gibbons no Galaxy 21, que havia os djs, e havia o Gibbons. Walter Gibbons foi o primeiro DJ a ter acesso às multi-faixas na Salsoul Records, e historicamente, Double Exposure - Ten Per Cent, foi o primeiro Single de 12’ polegadas lançado comercialmente nos Estados Unidos.

No Álbum do Dj Al Kent(Escocês), ele conta a história completa, apresentando reedições e remixes inovadores de alguns Djs mais influentes da era Disco , incluindo Walter Gibbons, Bobby DJ Guttadaro, Tom Savarese, Jellybean Benitez, Tee Scott e John Luongo. Onde ainda inclui um livro com 40 páginas com fotos exclusivas de algumas figuras chaves da história.

Em 1977, as coisas começaram a mudar, quando Steve Rubell e Ian Schager abriram a Studio 54, como um ponto de encontro de celebridades. A partir desse momento, a cultura da Disco de Nova York começaram a circular nas mídias globais, e logo depois, com lançamentos do Filme Brooklyn Disco, Saturday Night Fever, levou a cultura da Disco e dos Clubs, com força total fazendo com que a Cultura das discotecas, como também os costumes disseminassem. Dj’s como Nicky Siano e Richie Kaczor foram residentes.

- A top 500 based on discomusic.com member's votes.

I add to these ranking 5 top 100 given by different Gen AI : Chat GPT, Mistral AI, Gemini, Claude & Deep Seek.
I supress the mistakes they have made and create a final ranking.

I was born in the late 60's, but only in the late 70's I got to absorb the disco era. I was a listener, but always with a keen sense. It was where everything began, a passion for eletronic music.

In the 80's, these most intensely lived, and for me one of the best. I absorbed a generation of true musicians, which adds even more knowledge and feeling.

Nowadays, with all knowledge that I have gotten, I look intensely all the songs of the past. I really miss those times and I do not deny. After all, having this feeling is a spiritual universe, where we bring with us in our lives, everything good that we got. It is our story on a journey throughout time, going back, reviving às if it were the first time, remembering, inventing everything again making the "now" become Alive as in the pas, becoming a source of life.

Music is a cycle that goes back and forth. As I mentioned, I miss those times, but I did not stop in time, I enjoy the pasta and the present. I think I do define myself as an only style. I always say I like music and with the keen sense I have, I listen to the songs and if I believe they sound good to my ears, that's what I will believe. House is the base. However, in my sets there might be a tech house, a techno, or rather any Söns that may please my ears.

Nowadays, I live intensely researching everything from the past until the current days.

Nasci no final de 60's, logo, fui absorver a era DISCO já no final de 70's, era ouvinte, mas sempre com um feeling aguçado. Foi onde tudo começou a paixão pela Música Eletrônica.

Nos anos 80's, esses mais vividos intensamente, e para eu um dos melhores, absorvi uma geração de verdadeiros musicistas, o que veio acrescentar ainda mais o conhecimento e o feeling.

Hoje, com todo conhecimento que absorvi, busco intensamente todas as músicas do passado, sou sim, verdadeiro SAUDOSO, e não me nego ser saudoso, afinal a saudade é um universo espiritual, onde trazemos conosco em nossas vidas tudo de bom que absorvemos, é a nossa história em uma viagem pelo tempo, indo atraz, revivendo como se fosse a primeira vez, lembrando, recordando, podendo inventar tudo novamente, fazendo com que, o agora, torne vivo como no passado, tonando-me fonte de vida.

A música é um ciclo, vai e volta. Como falei acima, sou saudoso, porém, não parei no tempo, curto o passado e o presente. Acho que não me defino por um estilo somente, gosto sempre de falar que gosto de música, e com o feeling aguçado que tenho, ouço as músicas, e se eu acreditar, soar bem aos meus ouvidos, é o que acreditarei. A House é a base, entretanto, em meus sets, pode ter um Tech House um Techno....ou melhor qualquer música que agradar aos meus ouvidos.

Hoje, vivo intensamente pesquisando, desde tudo do passado, até os dias atuais.
