I am very happy to share with you another recording from our "7 Year Anniversary of Magician On Duty" that was hosted in Berlin  at Klunkerkranich this past September!

This time around, introducing "Null" (@nullmusik)

When Pierre and Hadri first embarked on their musical journey, the equation of 1+1 magically resulted in the harmonious resonance of 2. Armed with a solitary mouse and a lone keyboard, these two friends engaged in sporadic jam sessions within the confines of their Berlin studio.

Amidst the hustle of one immersed in work and the other grappling with a diminishing faith in humanity, two distinct paths converged, creating a dual void where something indispensable was amiss. As the world paused, and the relentless ticking of the clock came to a standstill, Null emerged from the stillness.

Pooling together their diverse influences, they forged a project that breathed life back into the spirit of freedom. A fusion of their creative energies mirrored a matrimonial union, finding solace and unity in the embodiment of Zero, or as they lovingly named it, Null.

Henceforth, in the symphony of their shared artistic pursuit, the simple arithmetic of 1+1 gracefully dissolves into the enigmatic equation of null, symbolizing the inseparable union of their creative souls.

Jeff Straw brings a lifetime of passion and experience to combining live saxophone with electronic music. Recent gigs include Pike's Ibiza, Northern Nights/Dirtybird Campout, Breakfast of Champions, Cabo san Lucas, Denver, and his home in the SF Bay Area. With styles ranging from mellow deep house, to his dancefloor-shaking disco and tech house sets, he's an exciting performer to watch. A technically proficient DJ and soulful saxophonist, his performances are one of a kind. Not many people play an instrument while they DJ, let alone have over 3 decades of experience. Developed over the course of thousands of gigs... Jeff Straw's energy and enthusiasm for performing are unmatched.

Starting 2025 off strong, Jeff has already had shows with Poolside, Donald Glaude, Goshfather, Spooki and David Carvalho (WhiteNoize). He returned to headline The Beacon Denver in February and played the main room of 1015 Folsom for a LA Fire benefit concert.

In 2024 he released 5 original tracks,16 bootlegs, and 50 live DJ/Sax mixes. His Ep called Let’s Go on Outsiders Recordings charted #3 on Tech House Releases for Beatport. He’s signed tracks to three labels for late 2024 and early 2025 releases - Outsiders Recordings, Destino Records, and Gold Bloc Records. 

His saxophone feature on DJ Spen’s Quantize Recordings label hit #5 on Traxsource - The tune has him alongside Jaemus, Becka, and Sen-Sei. 

He’s racked up a total of 100K streams  across YouTube, SoundCloud, Spotify and Instagram and 350K minutes watched on YouTube alone. 

Jeff  played over 200 gigs in 2024, notably headlining in Denver at the Beacon, his weekly Sindustry Sundays party in SF, headlining Paradisco Afterhours (Denver), and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico in November for a multi-day house music festival. 

He is the saxophonist for Steamy Windows which has festival dates in 2025 including Sunset Campout and Northern Nights Festival.

I'm a big fan of music generally, and also making connections with people through music. My collection has grown over the years and is still growing weekly! It contains a bit of everything, mostly influenced by breakbeat and drum and bass although more recently house and tech house. I was and still am a big fan of breaks, especially tracks from the likes of Freeland, Atomic Hooligan, Freq Nasty, Stanton Warriors, Plump DJs, Krafty Kuts etc but this list is definitely not exhaustive and I will listen to, and play anything within reason. Got to have an open mind! 

Things are a little quieter these days but I've spent many weekends lost in a field/club/house party somewhere!
