En 1519, le navigateur portugais Fernand de Magellan part de Séville pour accomplir le premier tour du monde. 
Des cinq navires dont il dispose, un seul parviendra à accomplir la première circumnavigation en 1521. 

Des élèves de la classe de 2GT3 du lycée Gisèle Halimi de Bazas ont réalisé pour nous le récit passionnant et immersif
de ce voyage extraordinaire, long de près de trois ans, un exploit considérable au cours duquel Magellan et ses hommes vont explorer des terres et des océans, qu'un aucun européen avant eux n'avait parcouru. 
Découvrez comment ils ont fait face aux tempêtes, à la faim, à la soif, aux épidémies. Comment encore ils ont parfois du composer avec la rencontre de populations pas toujours très amicales, causant la perte de Magellan lui-même. 
Mais si Magellan meurt avant d'avoir accompli son périple, à qui alors doit-on attribué cet exploit du premier tour du monde?

We’re thrilled to share our tribute to Mike Oldfield’s The Songs of Distant Earth — a lifelong influence and personal favorite.

This adaptation blends my piano arrangement of Let There Be Light, Supernova, and Magellan with electric guitar, vocals, percussion, strings, and full ensemble.

Mike Oldfield’s vision linked the songs of whales with the vastness of space — reminders of companionship, community, and the beauty of our planet. In our version, we imagine looking back at Earth from distant galaxies, carrying its melodies and memories with us.

Music, like the whale’s song, connects us to each other, to the infinite, and to our shared home. This is both a celebration of existence and a hopeful vision for humanity’s future among the stars.
