Masterplan is London-based but so far prefers to keep a low profile and let the music do his bidding. It's raw and pure underground garage in the case of this first one for brand new label Reptile Mob. 'Living' has it all - a soulful r&b vocal that tugs at the heart, some muted sax stabs and nice fat bass to get the floor bumping. 'Concode' is a chopped up groove with scraping hits and malfunctioning synth sequences adding colour and 'Ruff N Ready' keeps it deep and direct. 'Above The Law' and 'Deeper' round out with more sure to be effective and popular garage kickers. On this evidence, this will be a label to watch for garage heads.

REPCAST 004 | MASTERPLAN

This song captures the messy struggle of leaving a toxic relationship. One person tries to break free while the other desperately tries to pull them back. There's a  power play with admissions of manipulation mixed with delusional claims. Both seem to have their own "masterplan," hinting at hidden agendas and a destructive cycle of push and pull, where the need to escape clashes with a painful inability to fully let go.

𝐲𝐮𝐥𝐳 🦄 @yulzyulz - a DJ for two years, resident of Cel and a big music enthusiast. Her sets primarily explore techno, dark disco, and indie dance, though she doesn’t limit herself strictly to these genres. She gravitates toward synthy, cosmic and nostalgic sounds. 

Her musical roots lie in post-punk, synthpop and new wave. She has performed at clubs like Cel, Ciało, P23, Praga Centrum, Wyspa Tamka, Willa and Schron, supporting artists such as VTSS, Bjarki, Introversion and Lucinee. 

Recently, she has also started producing her own music.
In this set, she focused on the slower side of her selection, blending genres like dark disco, italo, nu disco, and indie dance, combining both fresh new releases and rediscovered classic gems.

Masterplan came from a question I ask myself often: the kind of world we’re living in, and how it keeps carrying us along. Sometimes we choose, sometimes the current decides. The song doesn’t try to give a final answer; it’s just a snapshot of accepting uncertainty and moving forward.

I recorded it with voice, acoustic guitar, keyboard, and harmonica. I wanted it to sound direct, no frills. The guitar holds the ground, the keyboard opens space, and the harmonica breathes where words fall short. If there’s a message, it’s this: we don’t know everything, but we can keep going.
