Jo Christy | House Techno UKG Live | Tilt Shift Tuesday 12th Nov 2024

Jo Christy first treated audiences in Naarm to her delectable tracks in 2017, later gaining a following in Eora, where she became one of the very few trans DJs on the Sydney club circuit at the time. 

Jo runs queer parties (Transenergy and Work Wife) with a focus on tasteful and fun music played by local legends and international headliners alike. Her own sound is an uplifting blend of house, techno, hardgroove, UKG and progressive house and trance, with her love of diverse genres showing through in nuanced and expressive mixes. 

Jo is inspired by the trans and queer DJs she plays alongside, and wants her music to contribute to creating spaces for her community to connect and share in the club scene and beyond. Her style has earned her support for international artists such as Seth Troxler, Known Artist, Eris Drew & Octo Octa and THC, also recently entering the festival circuit with a debut main stage set at Strawberry Fields in 2023. 

With her mesmerizing production talents, live hardware sets, and undeniable stage presence, Jo Christy brings an alluring energy to queer events and underground clubs. As Jo continues to move through the music scene, she imbues it with both the deep feeling of her tracks and her staunch values of what music can and should be.

Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. (verse 10)

* FOURTH - Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled. (verse 6)

We’ve come full circle … “for theirs is the kingdom of heaven”

Is this truer than it was for the first beatitude? Does the first speak of potential … and the second of attainment?

“Righteousness” (from June)
Living in accordance with Divine Order - THE LAW OF LOVE

And - looking at the Bible -  we are to do this …
* “without fear or favour” (Leviticus 19:15)
* without being swayed by external concerns and circumstances.
* DESPITE the OPPORTUNITY and perhaps even the JUSTIFICATION of acting otherwise. (David spares Saul - repeatedly [1 Samuel 24 & 26])

“Blessed are those HAVING BEEN persecuted [put to flight] on account of righteousness” (Interlinear)
* When we live a life of LOVING righteousness, then no outside influence or challenge has any lasting effect upon us and our actions, BUT ALSO, …
* PAST TENSE - Speaks of the wisdom of experience. A state which can only be attained by means of the difficulties and challenges we have faced.
* It is only through this path of trial, temptation, spiritual combat, that we have reached this end

If we have done this, it will not have been easy.
We may well have faced opposition from others
But we will most definitely have faced opposition from within.
Change is never easy
Our habit is to justify and excuse ourselves

Persecuted, means “Put to flight”
“The situation with regard to judgement from truth is this: The Lord never judges anyone except from good, for His will is to lift all men, however many these may be, up to heaven, indeed if it were possible, up to Himself. For the Lord is mercy itself and good itself, and mercy itself and good itself cannot possibly condemn anyone. It is man who, in rejecting good, condemns himself. As a person has fled habitually from good during his lifetime, so in the next life he flees from it, and therefore from heaven and the Lord. For the Lord cannot be present except within good.” (AC 2335.3)

What is worldliness? How do we OVERCOME it, while living in the world?

There is only one God that is not "cool" to the world. That offends every worldly persons beliefs. Who's name is a curse word. Easy, JESUS CHRIST IS LORD.
The God of Israel. The only God. There is no other. Read the Bible and stay away from books that a man has set his beliefs in.

“… a person is born worldly to become spiritual, and .. so long as he remains worldly, it is as if he is sleeping in the night as far as anything spiritual goes, and at that time he does not even know the difference between the outward, worldly person and the inner, spiritual, person.” (Conjugial Love, 340)

And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Amen. (John 21:25)

Que Sakamoto is a musician and producer From Tokyo, Japan. He is known for his eclectic blend of diverse electronic music styles, as well as his use of vintage equipment and instruments in his productions. He never repeats the same vibe, always tending towards weird, interesting music, as this is how he expresses his Japanese identity. In one go, he can take the crowd from disco to garage to dub, even to trance and experimental breakbeat.

For his current and future projects, Que Sakamoto is shifting his focus towards his Japanese roots. His passion is Japanese music from the 70’s to 90’s, and playing this music to a new generation, especially in Japan, to help connect people to their roots. This new direction reflects Que Sakamoto’s deep appreciation for his cultural heritage and his desire to showcase the rich musical traditions of Japan to a global audience.

LUMERTZ | Raw Hypnotic Detroit Techno Live | Tilt Shift Tuesday 19th Nov 2024

LUMERTZ is a Brazilian DJ and producer currently based in Melbourne, Australia. His music style is built on top of percussive grooves and hypnotic synths inspired by classic Detroit and Berlin Techno. With presentations couched by an intense and energetic rhythm, LUMERTZ guides the dance floor on an intense trip full of looped sounds that aim to awaken the crowd's deepest feelings.

During his trajectory, LUMERTZ has not only conquered his space on the Australian scene but also started to make his way on the world stage by building a solid name for himself through his music. Proof of that can be seen by his first Europe tour in 2023 during the Amsterdam Dance Event and on his music's support in festivals and clubs like Awakenings, Berghain, DGTL, Sonus, Monegro, Neopop, and Space Miami. and by artists such as Richie Hawtin, Truncate, Slam, Juliet Fox, Sama' Abdulhadi, and many more. In 2023, after taking a period for 'rebranding' and self-development as a producer, he started to release new songs showing his new strong identity, catching up attention and signing up releases with labels like Soma, Tronic, Noise Music, EvilGroove, Safe Space just to mention some.
