Track 2 from my 2025 album Sketches of Space. Built around a Korg NTS-1 arpeggiator pattern with added sonar 'pings' and Mellotron.

02 Sequence Seven

A hypnotic fusion of techno precision and organic ritualism. This track pulses at 127 BPM with a rhythm that blends ancient textures and futuristic energy. It features highland drum kicks, acid-style synths, and shamanic percussion including shakers, bongos, and whistles. Natural elements like distant animal calls are subtly woven into the background, creating an immersive and otherworldly atmosphere. An alien bass pulse drives the groove with gritty texture, while the mellotron and tremolo-treated vocals float through the mix like voices from another realm. The result is not hard techno but something more refined, trippy, and transportive.

Piece Of Mind

A bit of 60s/70s inspired Gothic Horror. Imagine Mary Shelley and the gang, stoned out of their skulls, alternately telling and writing horror stories in a dark, haunted house by Lake Geneva. It is, of course, a dark and stormy night and there are strange things afoot. The Daffodils won't leave them alone, and there is something in the woodshed. Ken Russell is directing them.

All made with Arturia VST's, mainly the B3, Vocoder, Mellotron, CMI, Clavinet, Mini and Pigments. Mastered with Ozone, but pushed to the limit to give some extra retro.

Oli Freke Biog
Oli Freke is a London based musician, artist and author who has had a life-long passion for electronic instruments, synthesizers and electronic music. Currently working for the BBC, he has previously enjoyed success with electro band Cassette Electrik supporting the Human League on tour, written music for television and produced dance music since the 1990s.

His Synth Evolution range of posters, celebrating the synthesizer and electronic music culture, launched in 2017 and led to the definitive, hand-illustrated book, ‘Synth Evolution: From Analogue to Digital (and Back)’, featuring every commercial synth of the 20th century.

Written years ago, this track has always been something I've played with as on ode to sleepless nights, neon lights, guitars and missing someone.
It's the most heartfelt lead I've ever played.
A personal favorite, for sure.

Hiya! Sharing another Pretty Cure inspired song, this time a little tune I made based on the lead character from KiraKira☆Precure A la Mode. Very brief, cute and light with a bouncy and cozy tone. I picture her baking a strawberry shortcake with this in the background. I'll upload something more serious soon, promise! In the meantime, enjoy this one.

Four Horsemen (Remix) – FACTORY [Mark II]

La leggendaria Four Horsemen degli Aphrodite’s Child, cavallo di battaglia del genio visionario di Vangelis e dell’inconfondibile voce di Demis Roussos, rivive in una veste nuova, inquieta e potentemente psichedelica grazie ai FACTORY – the MODern Blues Project.
Nella versione Mark II, la band rielabora il brano con audacia e riverenza, stravolgendone l’impianto vocale grazie a Giuliano Dettori, che trasforma il canto in un flusso verbale aggressivo e teatrale, carico di pathos e prosa allucinata. Alla tastiera, Silvio Vinci evoca atmosfere cosmiche con un mellotron spettrale e ipnotico, che avvolge l’ascoltatore come una coltre di nebbia acida.
Davide Spanu si impossessa della chitarra e la lancia oltre i confini del beat, con un solo debordante e torrenziale, tra delay, fuzz e wah psichedelico. Here’s a new collaboration with Steve Andricks.  The song grew from a core idea on acoustic guitar into an elaborate piece that is almost symphonic in nature.  It’s a  work that feels like you’re listening on a well-worn LP.

It features me on acoustic guitars and Steve on synths, bass, mellotron and programming.

I make music specialized in a blend of video game soundtracks and progressive rock. Melodic, textured, often experimental, and always with a focus on emotion and colour. You might’ve heard my stuff in Homestuck music teams like CANMT or UMSPAF or my original progressive rock albums.

1810 Sound is one of the oldest netlabels, founded in 1997 in New York City.  It was intended as a successor to the East Village indie label Quixotic Records which had folded that year.  The internet was still in its infancy but it was clear that digital distribution was going to be the future (also way cheaper). 

Conveniently, it is also the name given to the mobile sound recording unit used by the bands and individual artists that released music for the label. Over the years it’s included every type of technology we could get our hands on (the cheaper the better).

The result of the last 24 years is a seemingly endless bounty of experimental music and sound recordings from nearly a dozen artists. We carefully select a precious few from the vault for public presentation, given as freely as possible depending upon the ever-changing nature of technology and the internet.  Why do we do this?  A very good question. Is any of this accurate or true?  Another reasonable question. 

New and archival tracks are added every now and then, so stay tuned.  Any questions?  Contact us—even we might not have any answers.

Kraftkabel is the artist name of Philip I. Buckland. I am a musical scientist in a parallel universe living in a studio flat orbiting Jupiter. My keyboards are suspended in gravity nets, and my mixer is controlled by the power of the mind. My cosmic sequencing software masters through the power of emotion, and my keyboards are simultaneously both retro and new.
My music originates from the point of divergence of these universes - the mid-late 1980's, but is spliced by genre splicing interludes. I use a time machine and dimensional portal to get to work.

Kira Hooks is a Filipina-American vocalist and songwriter based in the Bay Area. Rooted in jazz,
soul, and folk, her songs explore love, identity, and longing, shaped by her mixed-race
background and upbringing across The Netherlands, Nigeria, Scotland, and China. Having
performed on renowned stages that champion independent artists like Hotel Café (LA),
Rockwood Music Hall (NY), and Exit/In (Nashville), she has built her own space in the Bay Area,
curating and performing at Little Green A Plant Bar’s LG Live series. A versatile artist, she has
shared the stage with artists such as Ernie Halter, Dara Starr Tucker, and Katie Buxton. Kira
connects with audiences in intimate listening rooms, corporate events, and house concerts
alike, bringing warmth and sincerity to every performance. In 2023, she was awarded a grant to
perform at San Jose Jazz’s New Works Fest, recognizing her original compositions. This year,
Kira is gearing up to release new music while performing both as a solo artist and a sought-after
vocalist for various projects.

In 2014, Arthur.Jr founded The Starclipse as a five-piece band and started writing and producing songs for an album. However, after some time, the band disbanded, and the project was put on hold. Now, Arthur.Jr has revived The Starclipse as a one-man band, breathing new life into the music and the vision.
