4 channels and .IT format? You guys are total junkies! Some of the most senseless compo rules I've ever seen!
More of a tech demo than a full-fledged work, since it is clearly not a complete tune. So, the whole point of this work is to intentionally abuse the capabilities of the .IT format, formally remaining within the rules. The drums had to be baked "in the Amiga style" into one loop and they ate up a lot of space. If it weren't for the limitation on the number of channels, the melody would be much better quality and weigh much less. Surely it can be compressed more, but this requires much more time and a lot of experimentation.

This set captures the exact energy from my closing hours 05:30 - 7:00 at Module Copenhagen, this was an APOLLO take over night – a deep, bouncy and hypnotic journey through indie dance, dark disco and mid-tempo techno.
The crowd connection that morning was something I’ll never forget.

Ich wollte es diesmal langsamer angehen. Naja... hat eher semi gut geklappt würde ich sagen. 
Der erste Track hat mich diesmal ziemlich gut abgeholt und hat mich mit einer Schwofgeschwindigkeit von 105 BPM, runtergedrosselt und mit viel Platz zwischen den Schlägen des Basses, in einen Bann gezogen, der den Mainfloor im Module ziemlich schnell gefüllt und angeheizt hat.
Alles war vereint und der Sound, die Energie, die Menschen haben alles perfekt gemacht. Danke und tusend takk!!!

Schwofen in Kopenhagen @Module (11.10.2025)

Bitbear's contribution to TRSAC 2025's Oldschool Music Competition.

This song was originally made in Renoise with lyrics and vocals in mind, but as I've been struggling with insomnia the last months, I've focused on exercise to exhaust my body such that I'm able to sleep. This has given much less time to make music than I would like, and the vocals are thus still incomplete.

Also, to my surprise, TRSAC doesn't have a Streaming Music compo this year.

I can thank my wife for urging me to reproduce this song in Impulse Tracker so I can now happily submit it to TRSAC 2025's Oldskool Music Competition.

I have to admit that felt liberating producing in Impulse Tracker again after not using it for over 25 years. I'm definitely going to be spending more time producing oldskool tracker modules in the coming months, which excites me!

The idea for the song is that we all have hard days, especially as of late, and that everything seems bleak and depressing – I feel you. Times are hard. However, we all need to remind ourselves that we matter, we have value, and we are loved by someone.

And, since 2020, I'm also using GarageBand on my Mac Mini.

Bitbear started fiddling with music in Pro Tracker on the Amiga 500 in the early 90's. But first when he got his hands on Scream Tracker and Fast Tracker on a PC, he started producing "real" music under the alias "Power of Creation".

He created two albums and submitted songs to various demoscene competitions throughout the 90's until he put his musical career on the shelf until it was rebooted in 2012 by entering the Kindergarden 2012 Dance Music Competition under the new-found alias Bitbear.
