After such a successful debut EP earlier in the year, it was only a matter of time before the Digital Commandos revisited Stamina Records with their fully freeform-focused, unmistakable sound. Fusing euphoric nostalgia with pristine club-shattering production values is always the order of the day at Commandos HQ, and this latest 2-tracker doesn't disappoint on either front, offering a pair of knockout tracks that embrace the Stamina Yin Yang concept to its fullest potential. Headlining the EP is 'Still Dreaming'; a straight-up peak-time future freeform anthem influenced heavily by the post-millennial golden era of the genre, but still delivered with a razor-sharp clarity and unparalleled warmth that cuts alongside anything else freeform or beyond. Selection of hard trance, NRG and hard house mostly from late nineties and early noughties alongside a few productions of my own from Primitive Records. It was great fun playing on the epic rig supplied by Shakedown Audio Solutions.

Something a bit different for my latest mix, going into the 2000s for the first time with a 02-04 UK Hardcore mix.  This was a golden era for the genre, which had by this point dropped the "Happy" label, with a focus on more of an energetic hard trance sound.

I was a regular at all the big raves during this period, including Slammin Vinyl, Hardcore Heaven, Future Dance, Elation etc.  Lost a lot of brain cells but met some brilliant people and have lots of memories!

Enjoy my first multi genre BPM building set for Ecstatic Rave June 21st 2025 to welcome ion the summer solstice. This was a sober rave gathering designed to raise your vibration, fully release and let go with no judgement.

Además de ser manejado por la DJ que más admiro desde que inicié como DJ… Poke AKA Mystery Affair :´) Que se dio el tiempo de escuchar mi proyecto e invitarme a formar parte en una de las noches más icónicas de mi carrera… El cierre en este increíble lugar.

 Qué mejor momento para subir este set que durante la celebración del mes cumpleañero de este gran club, único e irremplazable… Que cumple un año de haber nacido en la querida ciudad donde yo también nací, Guadalajara MX.

Fue un honor entregar el closing ante artistas maravillosos y un público increíble, y un honor nuevamente poder compartirles un poco de arte y música de mis artistas favoritos, en una faceta como lo es un buen afterhours set al estilo KEVIN ZAF.

Este afterhours set (132–144 BPM) rinde homenaje a mis artistas favoritos de géneros como hard house, nu energy, eurodance oscuro y tech trance de finales de los 90s e inicios de los 2000s, con toques de rave clásico y club europeo.
El viaje pasa por la transición entre el sonido de labels como Tidy Trax, Tripoli Trax, BXR, y artistas como Klubbheads, Interactive, 2Unlimited y por supuesto Head Horny & DJ Miguel Serna, mezclando elementos ácidos, vocales sampleadas y líneas de bajo pesadas, muy del circuito europeo de la época.

Con un cierre juguetón / memorable / nostálgico… Vengaboys, Axel F y mi DJ favorito Superstar DJ Keoki. despejando la mente después de una sesión intensa tipo rave 90s…

The Digital Commandos live hard dance act was born in late 2004 for a college project and before long were booked to appear at the Back to the Future Hogmanay party later that year at The Carling Academy appearing alongside established artists.
Since then the Digital Commandos have appeared at major events/venues across Scotland for promoters such as Back to the Future, Fantazia, Rezerection, Judgement Day performing at venues such as Braehead, O2 academy(4times).
The debut Digital Commandos EP entitled "The Digital Revolution EP" was signed to freeform`s number 1 label Nu Energy Collective and was the first EP to be released by Nu Energy on a digital format and subsequently was featured in Mixmag`s review section.
The tail end of 2008 saw the DC`s follow up EP "Dancefloor Warfare"once again released on the massive Nu Energy label, featuring once again 3 tracks of the bands own brand of high energy dance music.
2009 has saw the Digital Commandos receiving regular airplay on Clyde 1`s massive GB Experience saturday night dance show and in Dec 2009 Digital Commandos took to the Clyde 1 turntables for an exclusive guest mix on the GB Experience bringing freeform into the homes of Scotland at saturday night peak time on a commercial dance show.

Nu Energy Collective head honcho, Kevin Energy is firmly established as an award-winning DJ in both the Hardcore and Hard-dance scenes.  Energised, always and musically innovative, there aren’t many crowd-pleasers around that can rock a crowd quite like Kevin Energy but for a man who earned his first big room rave sets before he was old enough to legally attend them it is hardly surprising. His fresh and fast-paced Nu Energy sound and ever-enthusiastic mixing style make him a favourite behind the decks as he always delivers service with a smile and with more scratching and rockin’, upfront tracks than you can shake a glow stick at.
