This was just intended as a sound test. I had my piano voiced down recently for recordings. It's much mellower. The technician who works on this piano has done an amazing job.

Cryptic Sunrise

The first piano improvisation of me playing my almost completely restored piano. After it had been in our garage for almost 12 years, I decided to restore my childhood piano (built in 1910, E. Krauss, Stuttgart, Germany) as much as I can on my own. In April, my piano tuner regulated and tuned the piano. For this recording, I added a felt layer between the hammers and strings.

Different filter and resonance configurations and tools (soundtoys' FilterFreaks, Phase Mistress; Lexicon PianoChords, FabFilter and Izotope EQs), with some time envelope graphical programming and LFOs, plus some massive reverbs, are applied on the ambiance, in order to create movement and sensations of unreality.
