This is a piano re-interpretation of my original film score. In its early shape I have performed this piece live in Riga, Trieste, Pordenone and Ljubljana last year. Now it is slightly expanded and released together with the full film soundtrack.

“Echoes of the Farewell”
“Echoes of the Farewell” is a poignant, imagery-rich ballad about the heartbreak of separation and the loss of innocence during wartime. Told through the eyes of a child waiting in a dim railway station, the song contrasts delicate beauty—like blooming flowers and stained glass—with the harsh reality of conflict and impending death. Each verse captures the quiet terror of a final goodbye, where love slips away as a train departs and war looms. I don’t write songs in the traditional sense. I prioritize sound and theme over grammar or logical narrative. I often look between the moments we usually skip — the pauses, the loops, the unfinished thoughts.

It’s immersive, like film music — but you have to imagine the film.

I listen to myself. I write down what the song says.
Sometimes it says:

You’re not supposed to “understand” it.
