Tish has been a Community Organizer for CELDF (Community Environmental Legal Defense Fund) since 2012 assisting residents to organize rights based initiatives in their communities in order to help them “make real” the just and sustainable communities they envision for the future. CELDF has assisted hundreds of communities across the country to develop “first in the nation” laws banning fracking, factory farming, sludging, water privatization, industrial scale energy development, and others addressing worker’s rights, homeless rights, immigrant rights, fair election issues and nature’s rights, including the first in the nation law recognizing the rights of a specific ecosystem, the Lake Erie Bill of Rights in 2019. 
Tish is a founding board member of the Ohio Community Rights Network (OHCRN), organizing and assisting county chapters to build a movement of community rights organizing throughout the state to culminate in constitutional change that will guarantee people’s rights to local self-governance and the rights of people and nature over corporations.
Tish co-founded the grass-roots organization MADION, Inc (Mothers Against Drilling In Our Neighborhoods) in her hometown of Broadview Heights, Ohio that successfully campaigned to adopt the first Home Rule Charter amendment in Ohio creating a Community Bill of Rights banning new gas drilling, fracking and injection wells in 2012.  Tish has also been featured in the documentary We the People 2.0, appeared on the Thom Hartmann Show and The Daily show and is one of the editors of the 2021 book, Death by Democracy:  Protecting Water and Life - Frontline stories from Ohioans fighting corporate and state power.

And as rents continue to rise and evictions continue in California post pandemic, we check in on Antioch, the city just moved forward with a just cause for eviction ordinance 

On tonight’s show, we speak with a representative of a coalition of organizations including CAIR, AROC, Central Coast Anti War Coalition, The UC Students Association, Teach Palestine, the Filipino American Educators Association of CA, The Dolores. Huerta Foundation and Jewish Voice for Peace. And to close the show, we hear voices from the Antioch City Council and community as together they move to pass a Just Cause for Eviction Ordinance.

This week on Full Circle we turn our attention to Lebanon and we also check in on some local events from the past couple weeks. On tonight’s show, we hear from the “All Out for Lebanon" rally in San Francisco. We’ll also hear from the “Julian Assgage is Free" celebration that was held in Berkeley last week. Later we’ll hear from the ILWU local 6, they have walked off the job at Georgia Pacific in Antioch, one of Antioch’s largest employers. And we’ll close out the show with some sound from the 10 year anniversary memorial  for Pedie Perez, the unarmed young man who was killed by Richmond police in 2014.

Their loved one, Angelo Quinto was killed by Antioch police in 2020, they were back in court today. After that update, we’ll hear from the Children’s Press Conference that was held Saturday at the Oakland Children’s Hospital Research Center. Including an interview with organizers of the Children's Martyrs Display that was erected at the event.
