It’s the warmth of a heartbeat near your own.
It’s the softness of being understood without words.
It’s the comfort you never really lose, even long after the moment has passed.

written during a period of hope after feeling hopeless.
I began noticing a small sense of freedom returning to life, freedom that I had once had but did not notice, like going for a walk with a hot drink, airpods in and not feeling a pit of anxiety in my stomach about when the next bad thing was going to hit but rather being able to listen to the music in my ears, enjoy the taste of my drink, people watch and daydream about GOOD things to come. It was wild, to be so acutely aware of a capacity returning to me where I got to imagine goodness in my future. May Goodness find us...in good time <3
