Post-Me-ism

Originally was going to be a Mother’s Day song.

I think of this as one of my more peaceful songs even though the story can be a bit much for some people. We all know at this point that a situation can be worse in another persons home.
When your a 15 year old angry at your mom for constantly being upset for no apparent reason, and then going over to a friend’s home and seeing their Mother on the brink of collapsing due to drinking, all of a sudden everything doesn’t seem that bad.

This is more of a thank you to my mother for not turning to substance abuse even though I know times were hard.

This song is officially on all platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube etc.

Awaken My Love

Today is a gift, that is why we call it present.

From now on there are music videos of some of my songs on YouTube.

I make music just for fun, but I don't just play an instrument or sing, I do the entire production.
I like to write songs that tell a story, are funny and positive. I combine dance pop with (exaggerated) catchy melodies.
To make sure that it doesn't get annoying, there are also quieter tracks. There is a bit of romance, although I think I'm more of a nerd. Even though I'm a computer geek, my compositions and lyrics are made without AI.
I don't know if I've introduced myself in enough detail, just try my songs...

Ich mache Musik just for fun, aber ich spiele nicht einfach ein Instrument oder singe, die gesamte Produktion mache ich.
Ich schreibe gern Songs, die eine Geschichte erzählen, witzig und positiv sind. Ich kombiniere Dance Pop mit (übertriebenen) Ohrwurm-Melodien. Damit das nicht nervt, gibt’s aber auch ruhigere Tracks. Etwas Romantik kommt vor, obwohl ich glaube eher Nerd (Nerd*in?) zu sein. Auch wenn ich ein Computerfreak bin, meine Kompositionen und Texte sind ohne KI gemacht.
Keine Ahnung, ob ich mich ausführlich genug vorgestellt habe, probiert meine Songs einfach…

Formed in May, 2024, Geschwätz GmbH came together when aspiring DJ and producer, Petra Joy Fischer, met her soul mate, Austrian trumpetist, arranger, singer, rapper, and master brewer, Peter Roland Kuhn, on a platform at Hamburg-Altona Bahnhof en route to the warm-up party for the 2024 Schlagermove festival. Fischer had found office work in Hamburg uninspiring, and trying to break into the city's saturated DJ and electronic music scene a constant frustration. She consequently abandon city life for her new-found love and the mountanous beauty of rural Austria. Already by early June, she had packed down her vinyl collection, grow room, and home studio and re-located permanently to Kuhn's remote home town, the mountain-locked village of Brandt. There the inseparable, reclusive couple began pumping out a wide selection of tracks, employing the services of Kuhn's own talented, Reggae-inspired, home-town, brass schlager band (Die Einheimischen). The resulting musical constellation melds some of the pair's favorite styles: Glitch & Electronica, Ska, Reggae, Dub, Hip Hop, Trip-Hop, Rap, 1940's & '50's Jazz & Swing, Polka, World Music, Analogue & Digital Turntablism, EDM, and German Party-/Pop-/Folk- Schlager. Shortly after meeting, Petra joined Peter on a visit to his brother in Denmark. There the couple met their primary collaborator, musician and producer, Jah Bozo, a good friend of Peter's brother. An electronic producer since the 1980's, Jah Bozo, is online live almost daily from Copenhagen with either Petra or Peter at their home studio in the Austria Alps. When Peter's worklife as master brewer at Brandt Bierhalle keeps him from the studio, Petra Joy and Jah Bozo occupy themselves with their own tracks, often collaborating with other band members from Die Einheimischen, particularly the multi-talented Lauer sisters - Birgit and Simone. The production team have recently (Spring/Summer 2025) been recording and producing a bunch of Die Einheimischen's own Reggae-driven Schlager tracks for posterity, fun, and profit. Likewise, Geschwätz is collaborating on tracks with friends and producers around the world. These include The Ruff Mate (UK), SpiceDoubt (Germany), and young South African producer and visual artist, Lesedi Dlamini, from Bantfu Beliciniso. Many of these tracks and collaborations can also be found here.
