Well, ok. Not strictly a debut. Our Mexico maestro, Paulor, did feature on the third instalment of our Familiar Faces series back in 2020, and now he’s back, as one half of our new cosmic couple. As resident DJ of the legendary Futuro Primitivo he has soundtracked the nights for so many and showcased his own music on Life And Death, DGTL, Kompakt and more. Partner-in-shine, Kalexis. A supreme selector. Deadly behind the decks and an artist who finally cut her production teeth with 2021’s ’Neptune Rising’, now readies her latest work…  Right here on Riotvan.  The pair ease us in with the beatless opener ‘Going Through The Void’, before hitting us square in the chest with the growling stomp of ‘Energy’. On the flip they entice with the electrified folk feels of ‘Lashes’, before the rotor-blade drone of ‘Magnetic’ closes the EP.

This is my set from the Chill Island stage this year at Esoteric Festival 2024, full of Dark Disco, Indie Dance and twisty daytime tunes, coined as 'Desert House'! It was a melter of a Sunday and my set was peak of the heat, so thanks to anyone who came down and grooved! Big Thanks to Jim n Tom and the Esoteric crew for having us! Hope you enjoy!

Kalexis & Paulor return to Riotvan one year after their initial appearance with their „In Between EP' inviting a fresh spectrum of global talent to reimagine their cosmic soundscapes. The release, arriving digitally on December 13th, features remixes by Skelesys, label head Peter Invasion Gregor Habicht, and Mala Ika who are adding fresh energy and creative depth to the originals. The trio of remixes delves deep into the auditory core of „In Between' whith each artist introducing their own flair while respecting the integrity of Kalexis & Paulor's initial work. From industrial rhythms to bright, disco-tinged atmospheres, each reinterpretation expands the EP's original ambiance into new territory. Going Through The Void (Skelesys Remix) The EP's atmospheric opener with only bass guitar driving its rhythm, receives a darker, pulsating treatment from Skelesys. Introducing a kick, electric guitar, and sharper snare, Skelesys amplifies the track's heartbeat, weaving in Berlin's raw edge with South American intensity. At 105 BPM, this version brings a steady structure while remaining faithful to the mystique of the original. Lashes (Peter Invasion & Gregor Habicht Remix) Peter Invasion and Gregor Habicht take the hypnotic, distortion-heavy 'Lashes' to chaotic new heights. Layered with arpeggiated sounds their remix adds a structured dynamism that contrasts yet complements the track's underlying turbulence. JEFFERS takes listeners on a unique ride with seductive yet eerie, driving and grooving sounds. He delves into multiple genres, crafting versatile sets from Dark Disco, Tribal/Organic House, Melodic, Minimal and Psychedelic Techno. His sets are unpredictable keeping the dancefloor on their toes!

His now been playing major festivals around Australia including Elements, Esoteric, New Dawn and Wild Horses Festival. Showing his versatility as a Dj closing out the Elemental stage at Elements festival with organic/psychedelic mid tempo set while also playing a peak time psychedelic techno set warming up for Electrypnose at Wild Horses Festival, showing his bpm range for has no boundaries. 

With a bunch of his own productions in the works, and some more milestone gigs on the horizon, including some interstate and international gigs. Excited to see what’s next for JEFFERS
