Sometimes you are on a roll and everything just flows perfectly. In and out, fast and slow, the rhythm weaves its own tapestry. Sounds overlay in harmony and it all falls into place naturally. This feels like one of those magical moments: you are in the zone and nothing can stop you. The story unfolds just how you want it to and when it has to come to an end you just wish it could keep on going forever…

Chërny Chleb (@chernychleb) is a duo established in 2017 by Vera Riekki Koss and Piotr Andrejczuk in Gdańsk, Poland. Vera -- vocalist, poet, songwriter, illustrator, and multi-instrumentalist. Piotr Andrejczuk, a Polish producer and sound engineer, began making music 14 years ago after discovering the vast world of electronic music. 

The band was born out of a natural, intuitive connection, with music evolving from album to album. Their debut album, Something Like Nothing, recorded with a raw, grungy aesthetic, made the shortlist and placed fifth in the 3 Płyty & Wino contest in Gdańsk in 2017. Over time, their sound transitioned through dreamwave, witch house, post-punk, and post-witch, releasing multiple self-produced EPs and LPs. Apart from Poland, they performed in Russia (Svora rave festival), Georgia (Batumi, Tbilisi).

In 2022, they released the post-witch EP Ezoterika, premiering it with a listening party at Petrohradská kolektiv. Since then, they have been working on new material, continuing their path of genre experimentation.

In 2023, the band expanded their live performances to include improvisations, incorporating new instruments such as modulated flutes, vargan, and the Armenian duduk. Their upcoming album Prosvět marks another shift in their sound, steering towards post-dub and IDM. The release event will be held at Punctum - Krásovka on 2.05.2025.

Soliloquy

"Between Screams I Cry" by Siegfried Jünger unfolds as a surprising contradiction to its name. Built on a sparse but insistent percussive framework, the track carries a deep, reggae-tinged bassline that grounds its motion. Above it floats a melodic line that is unexpectedly tender—almost hopeful—threading ambient textures with electronic detail. Rather than dramatize despair, Jünger leans into subtlety, letting rhythm and space speak. The result is a track that suggests emotional distance, reflection, and the quiet moments that come after the noise.

Long-time Sydney/Eora staple, Perchance, joins us for his debut release with Big Ting Recordings. Smooth post-dub vibes are combined with gritty autonomic percussion for a full showcase of Perchance’s incredible talent as a producer. Rotate/Blup combines iconic rhythms of the breakbeat scene with warm harmonies and sequences of the melodic leaning side of bass music. The remix for this release is brought to us by a true icon of the Eora DIY electronic scene, ealing, gifting us a deconstructed glitchy reimagination of “Rotate”.

The title tune of the release, “Rotate”, is a post-dub inspired anthem, combining silky basslines with catchy chopped vocal samples. The tune whilst radio friendly, is dancefloor inspired, bound to introduce some pressure to sound systems worldwide

“Blup” showcases more of Perchance’s unmistakable skills of weaving melody and harmony. This autonomic masterpiece pays homage to the production styles of old, whilst introducing dreamy textures and elements that linger with a quiet, emotive pull.

Stepping up for the remix and closing out the release, ealing completely reimagines the title track “Rotate”, deconstructing the melodic elements into a suspenseful journey of chopped up break beats and glitched out polyrhythms. The 7-minute epic takes you on a voyage exploring the ingenuity and creativity of ealing as a producer.

Warm percussion and beautiful melodies set the stage for Rotate/Blup, highlighting Perchance’s talent as a producer and further solidifying the current strengths of the Australian bass music scene.

After stumbling into some fluoro drapes and mad psychedelic music somewhere in a field around 93, the path to becoming a Goa Trance DJ was inevitable.
Before the turn of the millenium and after having lived the dream, I realized there was maybe a bit more to life and sailed towards a different journey. Meeting many friendly music heads along the way who always helped broaden my horizons... Spinning round the block and back a few times... Carrying on my mission to spread the music or the word, I eventually came back to the sound of my youth and gave it a new twist. 
In life, things always come Full Circle and you will find a good representation of that here… 
Been trying to slow things down as much as I can in these modern days where we all live in the fast lane!
