Several Roots celebra su quinto aniversario con una compilación de 22 temas extraídos de todo el material publicado hasta la fecha, una selección que se compone de 12 temas originales y 10 remezclas.

La portada es un excelente trabajo de José Baldomir, un diseño que refleja a la perfección todo el esfuerzo y cariño con el que han trabajado l@s artistas que han pasado por Several Roots a lo largo de estos cinco años.

Several Roots celebrates its fifth anniversary with a compilation of 22 tracks handpicked and curated from all material released to date, a unique selection that consists of 12 original tracks and 10 remixes.

The cover art is an excellent piece of work by José Baldomir, a design that perfectly encompasses and delicately reflects all the effort and care inputted by our artists over the course of this last half decade.

Foreign is the pseudonym used by Miguel Vázquez to play sets of IDM and electro sounds, combining the smoothness and efficiency of transparent melodies with abstract landscapes and dense atmospheres loaded with complex polyrhythmic structures.

After some initial years playing in small local clubs, where trance and techno formed the most prominent sound in his sets, it was in mid-2001 when Miguel and Iván Marín created Silverside Collective with the aim of investigating and promoting the most experimental side of electronic music.

At the same time, he started working in the well-known record shop Recycled Music Center in Madrid, run by Dj Yke. This period lasted several years and meant for him a remarkable apprenticeship in all styles of electronic music.

Throughout these years Foreign has played in several events of Hard Taste, A.I. Series and in clubs like NAO, Dub Club, Specka, Graffiti, Shagü Club, etc..

In 2022 he created his own label, Mutoscope Records, mostly oriented to the IDM sound. He's currently preparing his first reference which will be released on vinyl soon.

Promising/Youngster es el aka que usa Diego Cadierno para dar salida a sus trabajos más orientados hacia los ritmos menos convencionales de la electrónica como son la IDM, el downtempo, el electro, los breaks, el ambient e, incluso, las atmósferas distorsionadas del shoegaze.

Tras más de 20 años de intachable carrera, podemos hacernos una idea de por dónde ha transitado su sonido con solo echar un vistazo a los sellos que han editado sus trabajos: Analogical Force, Sin Hilo, Nebulae, Noise to Meet You, Factor City, Several Roots, Adepta, Artificial Intelligence…

Una manera muy particular de producir y performar que también ha podido disfrutarse en directo en festivales como LEV (Gijón), Fanzine (Coruña), Rit/mo (Granada), Volumens (Valencia), Tupper, Celobert, Espai (Barcelona), Music&Dealers (Madrid) y Tesla (León); o salas como Siroco, Specka, Ballesta o Pirandello (Madrid); Laut y Luv (Barcelona); o Lanna Club (Gijón), entre otros.

Además su música ha sido radiada en los principales espacios radiofónicos de música electrónica de la actualidad (Siglo21, Lapsus y Paralelo3 en Radio3), asi como en las sesiones de grandes nombres de la escena, como Rob Hall, Ralph Lawson, Com Truise, Alienata o Vladimir Ivkovic.
