Indie musician Mandz hails from New England, where they spent interminable gray winters learning to play piano, and brief wet springs as a varsity flautist in the school marching band. So sowed a love affair with music. Nowadays, you'll find them coaxing sounds from unusual objects and layering choral harmonies over distorted instrumentals, both acoustic and synthesized. Elements of folk, shoegaze, lo-fi, and math rock vie for a neat, descriptive genre term. Their debut single "Run (Away)" released in November of 2024.
