58 years (!) and many iterations later, historian/preservationist Mike Matessino has assembled a soundtrack set fans could only dream of. THE SOUND OF MUSIC: SUPER DELUXE EDITION is the definitive audio collection comprising the complete film score plus a wealth of previously-unreleased material including instrumentals for every song, demos and rare outtakes from the cast. It doesn't release until December (and we'll continue our coverage then), but Mike is here to give a tantalising peek into what's included and how it all came together.

Shirley Jones' long career spans Broadway, nightclubs, movies and television, being most famous for the movie versions of the stage musicals OKLAHOMA!, CAROUSEL and THE MUSIC MAN and is perhaps best-known for the TV series THE PARTRIDGE FAMILY. In 2011, we caught up with Ms. Jones in San Francisco on behalf of Turner Classic Movies' presentation of ELMER GANTRY (1960) and, since she just celebrated her 90th birthday, we're resharing this gem from the archive! She also talked with us about such things as BRIGADOON, why she didn't star in THE BRADY BUNCH and... wait for it... GRANDMA'S BOY.
