As heartbreaking as it is for everyone involved that this year's Esoteric Festival couldn't go ahead, I'm stoked to be able to release this set. Took me a while to get together and not having the crowd and the dance floor there to guide the curation of the mix definitely leaves a void in the process, though instead the process of grieving and overcoming otherwise guided what I wanted to convey.

Though there are arguably bigger problems going on in the world then the cancellation of a music festival, I know personally how much these types of events mean to myself and the community I'm privileged to be a part of and there's a lot to be said for our need for collective celebration, community, connection and release at these times. In the end, I choose to take solace that everything happens for a reason, and there's a lesson in everything. And though it can take time, I trust that eventually those reasons will reveal themselves.

Takimba is a Dj/Producer who has been in the game for multiple decades. Starting out on Vinyl back when there were no other options he cut his teeth rocking crates from state to state before evolving into the digital world.

He brings the funky vibes to the dancefloor often performing with Takimba & Friends featuring live musicians joining the party and has multiple releases on InStereo Recordings as well as a bunch of Free Downloads.

Hailing from Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Aryn Benoit has been a prominent figure in the DJ community since 2011. With a deep passion for electronic music, she actively participates in the festival circuit every summer. Beyond performing, Aryn can often be found hula-hooping alongside her favorite DJs.
She has opened for a diverse range of world-class artists, including Krafty Kuts, A.Skillz, Long Walk Short Dock, SkiiTour, Kytami, Phonic Ops, and Nostalgix. Aryn’s extensive appreciation for electronic music spans every genre, and she takes pride in curating the best selections. Known for her love of multi-genre mixes, Aryn consistently explores unique and dynamic mixing styles, delivering an exhilarating and unpredictable experience on the dance floor. While she focuses on bass house, breaks, and drum and bass, her sets are thoughtfully crafted to cater to a wide audience, ensuring something for everyone within her sonic repertoire.
