As heartbreaking as it is for everyone involved that this year's Esoteric Festival couldn't go ahead, I'm stoked to be able to release this set. Took me a while to get together and not having the crowd and the dance floor there to guide the curation of the mix definitely leaves a void in the process, though instead the process of grieving and overcoming otherwise guided what I wanted to convey.

Though there are arguably bigger problems going on in the world then the cancellation of a music festival, I know personally how much these types of events mean to myself and the community I'm privileged to be a part of and there's a lot to be said for our need for collective celebration, community, connection and release at these times. In the end, I choose to take solace that everything happens for a reason, and there's a lesson in everything. And though it can take time, I trust that eventually those reasons will reveal themselves.

Takimba is a Dj/Producer who has been in the game for multiple decades. Starting out on Vinyl back when there were no other options he cut his teeth rocking crates from state to state before evolving into the digital world.

He was the host of "The Melting Pot Radio Show" for 15 years showcasing music and interviews from your favorite artists including Pretty Lights, Thievery Corporation, Mark Farina, Nightmares on Wax, Claude Von Stroke, Fort Knox Five, Emancipator and literally hundreds of other top notch artists. The Radio Show had a focus on funky beats and global rhythms from around the world and now focuses on his own production.
