Built around layered and deteriorated tape textures, dark and anachronistic synth-wave
forced through amorphous sci-fi bass pop.

The sound and processes in production are drawn from a memory deep in Cardinal’s
childhood — one of his earliest cassette tapes, from a formative shoe-gaze band,
had become physically warped from a rogue walkman.

Twisted, degraded, and slightly-diﬀerent-every-time-and-would
Always-get-stuck-in-the-car-cassette player.
Real didn’t understand what caused it at an untrained age.
But that version — warped, backwards, euphoric — became true.

The only version that mattered.

It was broken, but it was perfect.
It imprinted on him — and nobody else heard it.

It had gravity.

Memory bound by connection through realized nostalgia.

Nostalgia itself, imprinted and actualized as an anachronistic dimension of blending
spaces-times —
Where love and wanting are suspended behind you,
jamming the signal bleed of a song you once knew.
Realities passing in the night.
