I wrote this track in early 2022 when dealing with my personal mental anxieties surrounding my life impacted by world events, social and political structures, the pandemic and my own struggles as an adult, husband, parent.   I initially wrote the song with a male vocalist in mind as to echo my own voice, but after auditioning a few candidates I shifted back towards a female voice as the although the message comes from my mind and heart; the words and context are transcendent to everyone in how we can feel about our lives, the world at times.

Rev. Steve Wagner is the Senior Pastor at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lombard, Illinois. He was installed on November 8, 2016, following a 7 month term as Associate Pastor at Trinity. Rev. Wagner holds an MDiv from Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana. An ordained pastor of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod, he hails from Conroe, Texas.
