Recordings of the Bulkhead Boys live rehearsal August 16, 2024. Owen Cesarano on guitar, Tim McDonough on drums, Chris Kolb on keys, synth, and vocals. Most of the material is off the cuff or ad lib improvisations. There is an extended improvisational cover of Cortez The Killer by Neil Young and an homage to Fire On The Mountain by the Grateful Dead. The final jam is the first take of a new song by Chris Kolb.

I love playing with words, finding new ways to put them together to express what I feel. I hope my poems encourage others to share their feelings openly and honestly. My aim is to paint pictures with words, making them sing in a way that touches everyone's heart and mind. Through my poetry, I want to create moments that everyone can see themselves in, exploring emotions and thoughts that connect us all.

This compilation is an amalgamation of improvisational rehearsals by the Bulkhead Boys of the Bulkhead Boys (with several covers); jams on covers and Kolb’s originals with Rogers as well as solo overdubbing and songs written by Chris Kolb. But as Jimi Hendrix one said,”It’s nothin’ but a jam”.

Achieving improvisational nirvana is reaching that point where you can't do any wrong, when you're improvising, it's where the brain is fully focused on listening/reacting and the body just does what it's supposed to do, and there's no thought and there's no question, and no matter what you do, it's right.
