Originally this was the seventh and final movement. I liked the coda, but it needed to get to the high point more inevitably. It took almost two decades for me to figure it out-- like a lot of things.

Originally, the movement began with material from earlier movements given a scherzo treatment bordering on seething (and cliche) rage. Now, the opening is spacious, building its argument in a more reasonable way.

Intensity develops then morphs into a more innocent memory. The same material is shorn of dissonances and melodic angularity. Gradually we return from the reverie. Now with a revitalized sense of optimism of what it means to be fully aware of all our emotions while not letting any one of them control us. We can take charge of our own lives.

This song is a song about meeting new people, not gelling with those people/gelling with them for a while but then no longer gelling with them and then meeting more people

Joe Sensible is a Scottish songwriter and musician. His self-produced second album promises to take listeners on a journey into a time capsule of songs he wrote during his 20s, where his intertwining vocals and acoustic guitar are the landmarks in a sweeping musical landscape. Each new song released from the album shows a different side to Joe's music. 

Kenneth Lieberson is a composer of symphonies, concertos, ballets, cantatas, tone poems, opera, chamber music, songs. His music has been heard on National Public Radio, at The Library of Congress, Lincoln Center, Queens College, NYU, Stony Brook, CAMI Hall, Merkin Hall and at high and middle schools. His B. M. and M. M. are from Juilliard. He also earned an M.B.A. at NYU's Stern School of Business.

Mr. Lieberson has also written two novellas, dozens of short stories and hundreds of poems.  He illustrated some of these.
