Lately • A melodic journey through chill, deep and progressive house

A hypnotic journey through deep house and tech house, blending dub-inspired grooves with melodic layers and lowkey electronic textures. Pulsing basslines and warm, deep male vocals float over subtle percussion, creating a sound that is both intimate and club-ready.

Echoing the atmospheric style of WhoMadeWho, Monolink, Booka Shade, Adana Twins and Solomun, this track moves between late-night introspection and dancefloor tension, where dub elements dissolve into melodic crescendos. Perfect for afterhours sets, desert raves, and immersive listening.

While the influences range from synthpop and indie electronica to deep house, tech house and techno, the music always retains a clear signature – melancholic, textured, and unmistakably my own.

The sound is a glowing echo of late-night euphoria, channeling the hypnotic energy of Underworld and the bittersweet drive of New Order. It’s built on steady, grooving rhythms, drenched in analogue warmth and streaks of neon melancholy. A soundtrack for moments suspended in time, where the club becomes a cathedral, and the dancefloor a place of quiet revelation.

At the center stands the mirrorball persona, a fragile identity reflected in countless fragments, always shifting, never whole. It’s the self we become under strobe lights and shadows: exposed yet untouchable, radiant but unreachable. This song is their soundtrack, the pulse of a life lived between reflections.

In this exclusive commentary, the Canadian dance-rock duo of Jimmy Vallance and Tom Howie talk about the making of “Blink,” their latest single and the title track from their upcoming album. The song “grapples with the desire to have a meaningful and fulfilling life, before it all passes away in the blink of an eye,” Tom says. Recorded at their friend Shaun Frank’s studio in Toronto, the track changed with his input. “The end result ended up way more dynamic and lush and layered than we had anticipated,” says Jimmy. “It was really a team effort.” Listen now.

Immer schon begeistert und davon bewegt, wie man mit Musik gewaltige Menschenmassen bewegen kann, faste FilaOnTrak alias Chris Filler im Jahren 2007 Fuß im Deejaying da sein.
Anfangs noch über House Musik, die in den meisten Musikparks gespielt wurde, fand er bald gefallen in der Deep House Scene, erfüllt von den kreativen Möglichkeiten die keine Grenzen hat.
Seit 2014 versucht er sich mit seinen eigen Produktionen den Weg zu bahnen, mit dem Vorhaben, dies an die Menschen zu bringen und so etwas einzigartiges zu erschaffen.

Always been impressed and moved by how you can move huge crowds with music FilaOnTrak aka Chris Filler started deejaying in 2007.
Initially he was interested in house music, which was played in most music parks but he soon fell in love with the deep house scene filled with creative possibilities that have no limits.
Since 2014 he has been trying to pave the way with his own productions with the aim of bringing this to people and creating something unique.
