Juan Sanchez, founder of Format Records, is an Amsterdam-based DJ and producer who brings his signature techno sounds to dancefloors worldwide.
His performances at festivals, clubs and residency nights at Shelter Amsterdam have garnered acclaim from techno enthusiasts and top artists alike.
Juan established his label Format Records in 2014, infusing his stripped-down sound into collaborations with upcoming talent and established names from the industry.

This music is a forced translation—a system dump of cognitive overload. I excavate sonic sediment from a mind in constant compile, sifting digital debris for fractures, not polish. My practice is deliberate misalignment: corrupting parameters, courting the broken beat, pushing genres until they crack. Most experiments dissolve into noise. But sometimes, in the collapse, a ghost of a song flickers to life. What you hear are those found fragments—artifacts from the wreckage, offered as proof that the greatest failure is not ugliness, but sameness.
