The Twenties - Volume 2

Hey everyone, Dave Sully here, checking in from Cork with another Redzone session on Jungletrain – lots of new music 🌟

I kicked things off with Antagonist’s “Fables”, a perfect opener with its deep, atmospheric vibes. From there, things started to heat up with Modal’s “Heads or Tails” and some absolute fire from Loxy & Resound – those lads were on repeat this week with gems like “Rion-O”, “Magik”, and “Conflict”. Top drawer production....

The energy stayed rolling with standout tracks like Resound’s “Sapiens [SUBB014]” and Artilect’s “Surreal” – both delivering that deep, cinematic sound I love. And then there was Bungle’s “Plasticity”, absolutely hitting the sweet spot, alongside the timeless Seba with “Smoke” – a recent favourite of mine

Midway through, the set took a darker turn with Dom & Roland’s “Full Moon” and the weight of Homemade Weapons & Red Army’s “Ataxia (Red Army Remix)”. The flow was all about balance – smooth cuts like Jaise’s “One Little Bit” and Ahmad’s “Lesson 2 Learn” sat perfectly alongside the heavier hitters.

LUCIAN is a trailblazer in Sydney’s Drum & Bass scene, emerging in the late 1990s as a leading figure known for his deep, atmospheric, and tech-driven sound. His dynamic DJ sets, characterized by fast-paced, layered, and precise mixing, have made him a crowd favourite. This reputation earned him the opportunity to support some of the genre's most influential names, including Calibre, Total Science, Bad Company, Marcus Intalex, Jubei, Commix, Aphrodite, Moving Fusion, Bailey, Ray Keith, J Majik, Friction, A Sides, Delicat, Ulterior Motive, and Patife.

For over two decades, LUCIAN has been promoting in Sydney, creating successful club nights like Sonic Fiction, United, Momentum, Joined at the Bass, and Airbourne. These nights helped solidify Sydney's Drum & Bass culture, ensuring the genre’s underground roots continued to thrive and evolve. This dedication led to successful tours across Australia’s East Coast, including Melbourne, Canberra, and Brisbane.

After focusing on family in recent years, LUCIAN has returned with a renewed passion for the dancefloor, exploring a range of new styles, including Techno, House, Garage, Leftfield, Hip Hop, and Down Tempo.

KUZbeats is a genre-defying cinematic music project that blends organic, primitive sounds with modern elements, creating a timeless quality. M. Kuz, the artist behind KUZbeats, grew up outside Detroit in a large immigrant community, fostering a broad musical exposure beyond Western traditions. His music draws from his experiences living in countries like Suriname, Guatemala, South Africa, Zambia, and Liberia, while working in international aid, serving at U.S. embassies, and raising a family along the way. The music is deeply personal, reflecting the diverse influences from the artist’s life and travels.

Before this solo project, M. Kuz was signed to Ghostly International Records with the band POSTPRIOR, which combined electronic and acoustic beats with EDM elements. His music has been featured in the upcoming film *The Armenian Spread* (January 2026), and he's open to remote collaborations, remixes, song production, and drum design. His curated playlists on Soundcloud showcase his diverse musical moods.

The Prestige Music Group was founded in 2007 by DJs and enthusiasts Dyer, LT Smash, and DankOne with intent to contribute to the culture by providing an outlet for prominent and budding artists. To start from the beginning would mean a trip back to those hazy days of 88’, being a sweaty raver at Biology, Sunrise, Astoria, Camden Palace, to DJ-ing in front of thirteen thousand raver's at World Party. Having been involved with the scene from its birth, Trademark has well and truly come up through the ranks. 

His move onto the turntable’s came in 1990 when he was working at an Essex based recording studio with Bug Kann & the Plastic Jam. He was the driving force behind the classic Made in 2 Minutes. Illegal parties were rife and he had the tunes going back to the good old days of Acid House. DJ-ing seemed a logical step and Trademark’s first big time rave was at the Wonderland Arena New Year’s Eve 1990. Bug Kann & the Plastic Jam were doing a live PA alongside Reel 2 Reel. The DJ ‘s performing were Jumping Jack Frost, Ellis D & DJ Flex (producer to Randall / Mac II Recordings).
Trademark performed under the name of Synchronome and the night was a huge success. As a result he got the call to perform at the now legendary World Party raves throughout 91’ and 92’. 

93’ brought a brand new adventure, Los Angeles! 
During this time Trademark hooked up with MC Question Mark, who is now the leading MC in the U.S Drum n Bass Scene. With Trademark’s cutting edge Jungle / Drum n Bass sound and the rolling style of MC Question Mark, together they gained a reputation second to none. They are now regarded as part of the founding members of the Californian Drum n Bass scene. They regularly perform at some of the biggest events held in Southern California which includes Insomniac events, who are one of the biggest Electronic Music event organiser’s in the world.  

On returning to the UK, Trademark set about getting back into the UK scene and was a regular at AWOL, Speed, Tempo, Movement and Metalheadz. He built up a good working relationship with many of the top UK DJ‘s and labels. He started to perform at Drum & Bass events and festivals in and around London, whilst also hosting his own podcasts and radio show.

Having been established from the early days of the rave scene (and owning a record collection that most people could only dream of) we shouldn’t typecast Trademark into just a Drum n Bass DJ. Far from it!


Yes he is a well-known figure within the Drum n Bass community and his unique rolling sound has carried him all over the globe. He has a love of the underground music scene and a unique ability to play eclectic sets covering a wide spectrum of dance music.

His versatility to drop killer Drum n Bass right through to his 88’-89’ classic House sets has helped him gain a legion of fans. We haven’t even mentioned his now legendary old skool sets. Just ask the tens of thousands of raver’s who have attended Bugjam, USC, E-38, Big Bang & VW Action over the past sixteen years.

To summarise Trademark we can only describe him as one thing. A talented DJ! 
What’s interesting to know is that he achieved all this with an imperfection to his left ear. His passion to play music and to entertain has helped him overcome this.

It’s never been about fame and fortune, but for the love of Music!
