Qasida Muhammadiya (Arabic: قصيدة المضرية) is a poem written by the eminent poet Imam al-Busiri, author of the famous Qasida Burda. It is a short poem, consisting of 16 couplets in which each line begins with the blessed name of Muhammad ﷺ.

He praises the Prophet Muhammad’s virtues as a guide and intercessor for humanity, and sends prayers on the greatest of companions.

The melody captures the profound themes of seeking divine mercy and the Prophet’s luminous role as a beacon of hope and salvation. Imam Busiri composed the Qasidah Burdah as an expression of deep devotion and gratitude after being miraculously healed from paralysis through the Prophet’s intercession in a dream. This masterpiece continues to inspire devotion and awe.
