The second pre-release single from dear:D’s third full-length album Dance Till Sunrise, 〈Feel the Funk〉 strips away unnecessary weight and embraces the pure groove of funk.

Blending funk, pop, disco, house, and K-pop, the track bursts with neon-colored energy, its pulsing beats and catchy hook pulling listeners straight to the dance floor. The repeated chant “Feel the funk, get on the floor” becomes more than just a lyric — it’s an invitation to let go, move freely, and surrender to rhythm.

Rather than leaning on heavy layers or overstatement, the song shines in its simplicity: rhythm as joy, groove as freedom. With 〈Feel the Funk〉, dear:D shows us that music isn’t meant to be overthought — it’s meant to be felt, with the body, in the moment.

There is no theme to the September '25 Sounds of the City show - unless that theme is diversity and openness. Cocktail jazz mixes with Bollywood ambience; refreshed rock classics sidle up to dancehall reggae swagger; classic funk and northern soul; afro collides with latin and disco flirts with hip-hop.
