The documentary film, "Aftershock," sheds light on the deaths of two young women due to childbirth complications, and how two bereaved families galvanized activists, birth-workers, and physicians to reckon with one of the most pressing American crises today: the US maternal health crisis. WMSE 91.7FM is delighted to announce a groundbreaking partnership that brought a unique live broadcast event to the heart of Milwaukee. On October 25, starting at noon, Transit Transmissions: WMSE Hop Tour 2023 delivered the power of independent radio to the city.

The WMSE Hop Tour embarked from the station as the broadcast graced the airwaves during the beloved Squid Inc. show. Hosted by Sid and helmed by Christreater (Chris Schullist) as the DJ, this dynamic duo provided the musical backdrop for their journey along The Hop's M line, which conveniently included a station stop right outside the WMSE studios.

I pay my respect to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men and women who have contributed to the defence of Australia in times of peace and war, and I would also like to acknowledge all current and former members of the Australian Defence Force here with us today, as well as the family members of Defence personnel.

Thank you for your service and sacrifice, and thank you to the families of our Defence personnel for all your contributions and the support you provide to your loved ones.
Today, we gather with reverence and solemnity to commemorate a significant chapter in our nation's history, a chapter that embodies the courage, sacrifice, and indomitable spirit of our Australian service men and women. On this hallowed occasion of Anzac Day, we come together to honour their legacy and to reflect upon the profound impact their actions have had on our nation and the world.
