Afterimage

A deliberately loose sort of rock-folk-acoustic-gypsy-latin mashup. Includes a shed-door "bass drum," spiral notebook guiros, and other improvisations.

the process by which a beam of light or other system of waves is spread out as a result of passing through a narrow aperture or across an edge, typically accompanied by interference between the wave forms produced.

This is a song I wrote about a month ago, and it features my friend Igor Garcia on violin. The title was the result of combining a scientific word (diffraction) with a generic one (love), and the metaphor that therefore got created. I wrote all the music and lyrics and recorded guitars, pianos, bass, MIDI drums and vocals. I hope you enjoy it. Picture taken and edited by me.
