So this traveling monk asks the people why that head is on a stake
They say she was a killer who stole the lives of a family
With her scissors she slayed the clothier and another three

This decapitated lady never again will say a thing
Ah, Onigashima’s head that softly swings....

It's a monk’s responsibility to read the dead their rites,
