“Dante” is a strong advocate for the modern iterations of Italo. Colourful, intelligent and eccentric, it represents Loose Fit's sound of positively uplifting synth work.

The A1. Dante provides an anthemic homage to late nights at the disco. Nostalgic, gritty and packed full of emotion, Radondo demonstrates his penchant for 80s synths and ear-worm melodies. Whereas 'Dante' deals with heady euphoria, 'Dust' was cut to settle the score on the dance floor. The ominous bass and processed drums provide a siren call to the ranks of Dark disco.  Flip over to the B-side, and you can find two Italo heavyweights on remix duty. Whereas Franz Scala delivers a bold and driven club cut with "Dust", Jex Brings back the funk with his playful rendition of "Dante", each idiosyncratic and hella effective in their own right. 

Outside of his work under the Radondo moniker, Jimmy Horton is not a man to rest on his laurels. Between time spent composing film scores, running his event night "Tropical Popsicle '', and recording with his band "Truths'', he has managed to find time to move to Berlin and launch his solo project. Lining up 3 EPs for 2022, an appearance on Berlin's infamous Hor radio and support from some of Italo finest, he's already paved the way for a solid year ahead of him.

Based on an original idea by fellow producer Lennart, Slow Motion & Ritmo Fatale are joining forces in creating a new entity in the italo-disco multiverse : Universo Parallelo. On this ten tracks various the idea is to showcase artists from both labels, trying to merge their Italian and French music approaches. Known faces, new aliases & fresh newcomers share the bill on this existing adventure !

Founded in 2009 by Italian artists Franz Scala and Fabrizio Mammarella, Slow Motion Records has since become well-loved and respected for showcasing the very finest dance music from a collection of contemporary Italian producers. Now running between Italy and Berlin, the label remains focused on staying true to the original feelings and vibes that have been present on dancefloors the world over for the last 30 years.

Operating since early 2020, Toulouse-based Ritmo Fatale is the label held by French duo Kendal & Paul. They are bringing back italo-disco and sounds inherited from the 80s and 90s on the front of the stage under an hybrid and modernized form, boosted with EBM & early trance influences. They like to call it ‘Italo Body Music’.

Longtime passionate about discovering and sharing music, cultural and artistic references; launching and managing their own label is for them the best way to express their identity.

"Mmmm yeah, it's time for another MMDISCOS, this time featuring the stellar selections and edit expertise of Franz Scala. Not only is Franz one of the biggest Italo DJs in the game, he's the owner of the excellent Slow Motion imprint, which stands alongside the likes of Red Laser and Bordello A Parigi at the top of the nuovo Italo tree. 
We're in electrifying Italo territory right from the off here as Franz works his magic on Electra's "Are You Automatic", a midtempo mover whose camp vocal examines cybernetic affairs while the chugging sequences and detailed percussion powers on below. Neon-tinged and stiff with hairspray, this high drama heater should move your floor from the warm up to the peak time perfectly. Over on the B1, Franz freaks GJ Lunghi's "Acapulco Nights", drawing every ounce of drama out of the resort-Italo classic. Building up from a majestic bassline, the track grooves through sparkling sequences, sci-fi stabs and swelling pads, peaking with a murmured vocal and big pianos - Italo perfection if you ask me. Not content with flooding your pleasure centres with "Acapulco Nights" Franz takes on Wish Keys' "The One You Love", stripping back the vocals, upping the tempo a little and letting those outrageous instrumental elements come to the fore. Sustained pads, jazz-meets-Italo bass synth and sublime sax take you there, then the uber-80's Cocaine in Rimini romance crashes in like a wave. Italo for the Balearic crowd!
